According to the last months Jedi nerfsand changes, the Jedi profession has been more and more balanced towards the BH profession.Recently, the BH has only be granted Jedi hunting ability upon reaching mastery in his profession.
I am not looking for any logical aspect of Jedi hunting here, if there is any anyway, but if Jedi is balanced towards BH why does he appear on terms before reaching any mastery skill. A master BH should only hunt a Jedi with a mastery level in one of his Force professions. That would make sense.
Possible 'exploit': Jedi could develop a full template without learning any mastery box and thus be invisible to terms. In that case the system could sum up the accumulated Jedi XPs and, when a certain amount is reached, a Jedi would appear on terms.
This system would give a break to the young Jedi and allow them to experience and learn various aspects of their profession before being hunted. After all, a BH has to train against NPCs (even if thats very different from PVPing) for a full investigation tree. A Jedi should be given the time to learn his profession as well.
What you think?

well for one. You CAN grind critters for ever in a group and not get Vis.
and 2: nobody wants to see a bunch of lvl 60 jedi running around 'learning thier profession' which means practicing PvP. Will look like Pre-school theed.

Those of us who played by the rules pre CU never got vis and thus never got hunted. Some players seem to think that getting vis is unavoidable.....when it plainly isn't...

Pre cu there were bugs dealing with VIS. Speaking from experience I was attacked several times during a 2 week test i did. I had been killed once in the beginning of that 2 weeks. I sat in a house using no force skills or nothing. I had 15+ bh's come for me during those 2 weeks of me just sitting in a house. I was on the terms for that long for no reason what so ever. I would have to agree with some ppl that this bug is still in affect.

meh, seeing how jedi, in great numbers (except for the fiew in hiding), r not supposed to be here during this time period in the Star Wars universe, iit makes sense that that uget hunted if ur not careful to grind in secret by yourself or with a group. I know it may seem hard if ur low level but keep in my mind, when u work hard, u party hard... LOl and to me, having a full temp jedi is one big party ![]()
just remember to have fun when u play

After three weeks or 21 days, you would be off the terms unless you were one of the rare permanently visible Jedi. Of the 7 months through publish 7 to the day I started the knight trials I had never gotten on the terminal and now I get unusually more visits a day than most of the others do on my galaxy. And someone in my guild has been grinding in random Mining outpost groups if no one in the guild were on to grind with, and he has yet to get a visit.

The whole point of the BH system is to hinder Jedi from reaching full temp and to persuade them to stay in hiding. Once you reach full temp there is no reason to care about XP loss unless you plan on changing your temp.

In answer to the orginal question, lower level jedi are slowed down because of xp loss and they should be trying to avoid vis at all costs. If they were not hunted they could run around flashing thier sabre to everyone, that isnt the jedi way. too many sabres are flashed as it is

The whole point of player bounties is to kill off and "slow down" the lower level jedi's. Being hunted is a learning experience. The only reason us full temps are on the terms is for our amusement.

>> I'm guessing you just got licked by a BH?
You are guessing wrong.
I am closing to full template as a Force user. I never met a BH, never fought a BH, and I do not intend on fighting any if one comes to me. I'll simply cloak, flee, log out and log in one of my numerous toons. I have better things to do than losing gametime to a useless duel where I have nothing to gain and where my opponent has nothing to lose. I really don't fear any of them as I chose not to be their content.
I am just trying to find new options for Jedi as, obviously, I find BH/Jedi relationship in game utterly stupid and out of place. As Jedi are supposed to be rare (even if the game population tells otherwise), BHs should not be aware of them anyway and I really don't see where the devs designed this hunt concept.
Furthermore, BH hunt will never reduce the Jedi population on servers. Itwill not prevent them from being full templated Jedi, nor significantly reduce their grind time anyway. In my opinion, this is just a stupid concept. BH are just a nuisance without any significant purpose in game other than releasing some frustrated players tension, as many BH posts on BH forum lead me to believe.
This option would allow young jedi to experience something else than hunting creatures or waiting for a bored BH. After all, after 15 weeks of grind it would be appreciated to have a bit of freedom to experience some game content from a Jedi perspective.

If you've done nothing to evidence being a force-senstive or an actual Jedi character, the Empire has no way of knowing to place a bounty on you. I.e., little or no visibility, you don't get on the terms. Get on, and get killed, you're off the terms until visibility is recrued. (I.e., by defeating the rare BH that comes for you, your being a Jedi is reduced back to mere rumor and speculation, not worthy of the a BH mission.) Sort of the way some people think it works now.
On the other hand: it could be argued that once the Empire knows you as a Jedi, then you become more recognizableto Imperial agents. Therefore you accrue visibity more quicklywhen using Jedi abilities in view of the public, and the visibility takes longer and longer to decay. Eventually, through gaining enough continued visibility, you do get "perma-termed", even if you kill every BH that comes for you. Indeed, the more BH's you kill, the more likely you end up permanently on the mission terms. Sort of like making Palpatine's Most Wanted List.
