hope the guy realizes that pearl will have NO stats and will have to be "re-tuned" in the next patch lol.. 18 mill well spent.
That's just sick. ![]()
alright, this may be a really, really bad idea. But give your input none the less:
Now I wasnt around in the biginning, ive only been playing since christmas, but wasnt it the case before, that only one person was able to harvest creature materials per creature that was killed? But they changed that becasue of the difficulty in acquiring creature resources, and people having their kills stolen, etc.
Well, here is my idea for pearls (and Im sure you can already see where im going with this one): Instead of 1 Pearl dropping on a particular Krayt, why not make it 2 or 3? The first 2 or 3 people to loot can get a Pearl. Obvioulsy not everyone will get one. But it will increase the population of available Pearls, and if this truly is a fully functioning economy, with greater supply comes lower prices. If this isnt a great idea, then increase the drop rate (which has been suggested time and time again).
The in-game economy is meant to emulate a real life economic model. Well this would be a great test. I set out a challenge to the "Powers that Be". Give usgreater loot drops, and lets see how your economy fluctuates. Lets see if it does what is supposed to. If it is controlled by idiot 14 year olds with too much time to play a video game, who have zero concept of supply and demand then this may fail and another solution may have to be divised, but lets see if it works. This solution can bring about a few changes. The availability of pearls will help level the playing field in the upcoming PvP section of the Jedi revamp. The super rich Jedi will be able to afford Pearls, while the poorer ones may not stand a chance having to craft using only crystals. With cheaper Pearls, more people will be able to afford them and not have to craft with substandard materials. Also, an increase will effectively level the economy and hopefully help to cease the whining about how damn expensive Pearls are getting. Just take a look at the auciton on the trade forums for an 18million credit Pearl...that is outrageous!
Anyway, hopefully this or something that will fix the current economic craziness can be implemented to correct the problem.

Existing lightsabers will be able to be broken down, but all existing pearls in the world will be worthless? This means that Jedi should craft lightsabers pre-patch just for the sake of being able to break them down and not totally lose their pearls?
When the Publish goes live, old lightsabers and pearls will not be usable anymore. They will need to be converted automatically. Pearls will convert automatically the moment you login. Each pearl will become a new "un-tuned" pearl with a quality set based on the existing stats of the pearl. Existing lightsabers will not be able to be equipped anymore. They will have the option to "break down" their lightsabers into their un-tuned components. Jedi may then tune these components to use in their new lightsabers. The values may appear lower but we are maintaining the level of lightsaber power behind the scenes. These power levels will then be adjusted accordingly when the combat balance is pushed to servers. Keeping the pearls or using them should not make much of a difference in the transition from the old to new systems.
YES, you euro trash. 1 euro = 1.2242343523523523523 US Dollar.
Obviously the euro trash doesn't have a sense of humor.

LOL I am appauled that it took the price going up to 18 million for people to refuse to purchase the pearl. The only reason why they cost so much is because other players have us by the perverbial balls when it comes to components to make the only weapon we can get XP with and need to progess in the game. Personally I have never purchased any perals, and have only bought a few crystals that friends have brought me. I refuse to be at the whim of other players and pay millions for the equivelant of a FWG to any other profession.
Honestly the only reason why people charge as much as they do is because they know we will buy them. I say refuse it, let them hold onto the pearls that will be worthless to them.
The day I pay millions for a pearl is the day I see a BH pay 6 million for a LLC (the equivelant of a 4th gen sabre made with 3 pearls at 2 mil each) or a TKM pay that for a VibroKnuckler
