Thread: Baciacca Please clerify the Devs intentions on pre cu pearls.

I has been said that premiums will be returned to the game and that people that already have them will be allowed to keep them in the interum. Can you please get a clerification on the meaning of this statement as it can be construed to mean that a nerf on pre cu jedi and their hard earned sabers is coming.

i have seen the statement he is referring to and it is hard to tell the intentions of it from that. so this is definately something we need to find out.

This is a fact, although its cloudy... I have to think that the Devs would not take away somthing we already have but lets face it... I have a Knight robe in my inventory that counters this... not to mention some FRS xp and mods to boot.
I just hope this all goes well and they at least give us old Knights the credit for the trials. They said they would at fan fest but they also said Jedi would be strong lol...

It was a statement made by TH in the HoC chat this week. In fact I think it was the answer to the first question asked.

You won't lose your pearls....
if the statement was
" We are working on reintroducing Premium Pearls but those who have them will be allowed to keep them in the interum."
Interum basically means between now and the time they are retroduced...why would they take away your premiums when they reintroduce them??

I've read the statement. I've also spent the better part of 2.5 years reading statements from TH and I don't think there is any sinister message there. He is a literal guy. He isn't hinting at anything. He said that they were looking into how to get premiums back into the game. Until then the premiums that are in the game stay as they are. It doesn't imply a nerf. It doesn't promise there won't be one either.
People are keying on the word interim becuase it is often used to describe a temporary situation that will change. In this case the change is the return of premium pearls. Nothing else in his statement indicates they are considering lowering damage on the pearls.

thats exactly how i read it. pre-cu pearls will stay unchanged and premiums will be worked back into the system. If anything changes again I'm sure existing pearls will go through another conversion and if you have a perfect now it will be perfect then as well. Heck the might get upgraded

they do not just say things in writing without thought....al statements in regards to jedi is highly scrutinized so they will leave it extremely vague and full of conjecture so that when the decision is made they have plenty of outs. just an fyi
