Hey
Wondering if there is a difference between pearls and crystals...
I have been looting premium crystals from the Elder the last couple of days...out of the 6 I tuned, 4 have been 49-50, the other two being 20 and 38. All have been -9 fc. Is this pretty much as good as it gets, or would flawless pearls/crystals get higher stats? Gives me a pretty good (I think) 3rd gen, but can it be better? Long way for 4th gen yet, so any extra will really help the grind

No difference between pearls and crystals, except where they come from.
50/50 -9 seems to be a perfect tune so you should be happy with those.
So far my best tune is 32/32 -5 out of 20 crystal/pearls tuned. I would be extremely happy with 1 of your crystals.

50-50, -9fc is cap. but the -9fc isnt just -9.
you get -9.5 -9.9 and so on. you dont know what the -9.(some thing) is before you put it in a saber.
so if you have a 4th gen saber whit 4 -9fc crystals and have lets say 10fc. you can change the crystals you have and maybe get the saber to 8fc.
the holy grale would be to have a 4th gen whit fc 7 i think.
in my experiences a 1h saber use less fc than a duble bladed. is that just me or have others noticed that too?

Crystals/Pearls of comparable quality levels seem to have about the same chance of getting good/bad tunes as each other. So just go after whichever you want and tune them.

pearls have a damage max of 120, whereas crystals are 110. and from my own experience, pearls tune better. I have a whole housefull of premium crystals that tuned to like 70 damage -4 FC lol

WRONG!! I have a crystal that is 117 -9. They both tune to 120. I think pearls just have a better chance of tuning well.

Definitely have better tunes with pearls, the speed modifiers on them are 2x as good as any crystal I have ever tuned.

I find it strange that a polished rockfrom the gullet of a dragoncould be better than the true component of a lightsaber.. go figure ![]()

Considering Premium crystals still drop in game, and premium pearls do not. Crystals > pearls.

Is the lowest quality pearl better than the highest quality crystal, or does it matter at all?

Tuning sucks so yes sometimes it is . It's all random doesn't matter but you have slightly better chances with a flawless pearl compared to a fair crystal
