Thread: Mdef in a Duel!!!

If you go to the second page of this thread there is a discussion or flame or w.e about Mdef in PvP. Someone says that if u run about 36m away from a mdef while AI in a duel then its not really a duel. But, for real who sits there and fights a character under god mode for 30 seconds? It would only be smart to move away and wait for AI to go.
Am i right or wrong? Also, would u consider it a duel if someone AI's ?
any other thoughts? please comment.

Root and Drain force . That is only way to do damage to a Mdef. Takeaway force and they are toast.

Unless you set terms before the duel, or are part of some subculture that has a set of unwritten rules (the anti-TEF crowd form before the TEF changes comes to mind), then any ability your character has is fair game I'd say, including mobility. I always found the "looking for duel no poison/disease/pets/ranged/healing!!!!! people at the starports amusing.

exactly but my template doesnt have drain force so im able to root, FR about 36m away and wait for AI to go off. shes telling me that if i do that then its not really a duel.
My point is that its pointless and just plain stupid to stand toe to toe with a guy that has AI on

yeah you can sure run away when they turn AI on, Jedi have a root move for a reason

I am a powers jedi which is ranged. Not all jedi HAVE to use a saber and be within 5m to beat someone. You are simply adopting a very cunning strategy to win. She complained because you were smart and figure out a way to make her waste her force. Jedi duel doesn't necesarily mean a melee duel. To sit there and waste fore hiting someone that can't die is just stupid. So she wants you to be a tard and hit someone who can't die?? Better off rooting and let her waste her 1k force and affter it runs out rince and repeat . Make her hit AI again root and run to safe area. Don't let these kids woh make up rules so they can win punk you dude. A duel is a duel PERIOD .Run or not its strategy .

her complaint is that she has no healer in her template so she has to resort to stims and AI and that i shouldnt run because she has no healer. but to me thats not an excuse, thats her fault she sucks lol

Exactly my point . If her template sucks you don't have to change your strategy. Just say your template is ranged and melee simple as that.
