Thread: Baciacca we need some kind of force pvp, or TEFFs back

the CU has killed pvp ever since it got here. Unless you play on bria pvp is dead, I pvped everyday in the preCU in was nonstop pvp and fun. We need a roleback or some changes to this system, I don't care which but we need some changes. Bring back teffs, and saber teff, impower jedi and yet make some consiquinces. Put the fun back in the game.

btw, why do people spell it TEFF more and more often these days? lol.
It stands for Temporary Enemy Flag. TEF.

i have no problem with TEFs if they take away the energy damage tag from LS, it should cut thru anything, its light

I think we should get rid of forced PvP completely.
and Saber TEF is plain and simple stupid, since it opens completely up for Harassment. Thats part of the reason why they did remove it in the first place!!
jedi is now not as strong as it was. BHs I easy won over earlier, I am now frequently loosing to. And im using my same tactic as earlier. I still win tho, but thats usually against new and unexperienced BHs. Thatd why we should get rid of the Forced PvP! And it also ruins my gameplay, spoiling all my quests and missions. Its very difficult to protect myself against 1 BH and 2 Nightsisters at the same time! One time I had a NS elder and NS Ranger + a BH on me at the same time outside NS Stronghold. Tried to run away from the NSs, but the total damage made it very difficult getting away, specially when the BHs root etc.
We have now come to a point SOE needs to think of if they should remove the Forced PvP. I did not go jedi to get a free unlock. I went jedi, because thats what I want to play. But its difficult and not fun, when BHs are ruining my play. My missions. and my quests.

Uh, PVP before the CU was crap. All someone had to do was hit someone with a Mind DoT'd weapon and they were screwed. Pvp was lack of challenge and a half. It was just who camped/hoarded the spawns that dropped that weaponry.
Tefs sucked. As a doctor I got killed too many times because of that tef. "Oh, an overt!" and they'd kill me because the person I buffed forgot to tell me they were overt. Not fun.
It was just cheap kills for cheap players.

Not every server has a active MO. I know becuase on my server MO is dead, and the grind groups meet at a improved job market on tat to run missions.

Until some the bugs/exploits are fixed whats the point,pvp is a joke atm.

you get a free alt, do quests on him if you dont want to not be hunted.

Don't you see nic, jedi lose there power everytime we lose some risk. If there is no risk and not any forced pvp there is no reason for us to be able to rip someone apart with a higher damage. When jedi could be attack anytime someone saw there saber, we were powerful. It is a balance and the more we ask to take out forced pvp on a jedi the weaker we become.

post cu jedi are a reg profession anyway. no more reward, why the risk?
forced pvp is a legacy of the pre cu system. it no longer serves a purpose. only sf jedi that WANT to pvp should be on the terms. as you guys point out, some of you want to pvp, good you still can. the ones that don't want to, should not have to.
