Thread: Is SWG Getting a Reboot?

Well at long last the cat seems to be out the bag. Tiggs & SOE are miss-leading us, SWG is getting a reboot. Despite denials from SOE the box art is out for the starter kit, the game description has stated that there will be major changes revamp of 30 new levels etc. Now the one main thing emerging from this info is nowhere are SOE mentioned. Now before some player who is an SOE brown nose starts there defence of SOE consider the rumors that have flying through the forums concerning major changes to the game, such as no melee professions & no grinding. While the advert has stated that there will be a revamp of the first 30 levels, this would tie-in with the rumors that have been circulating.
I do believe that Lucas arts will make an annoucement shortly concerning a take over of the game by them. This is something that has been circulating in the games press for sometime. If this does happen then it will be the end of SOE's involvement. This is something that I would welcome.
As for the saddo brown noses who have posted there usual SOE are great crap, well guys wake up & smell the coffee SOE may shortly be history in the game. You're in denial of this information stop deluding yourself. SWG has major changes coming to it hopefully for the better! I will not reply to any post on this thread from those who support SOE & claim the starter kit is a hoax. The cat is out of the bag SWG is a getting a reboot for the better!

Getting started in this game is very hard in the current system. They are probably just making an easier way to bring new players into the online community, which is very much needed. I fear a lot of things are getting blown out of proportion on this without enough actual evidence to back it up.

i feel lost in everything that is going on.. i also agree that it is hard to get started in this game and would welcome a new system for new players... i just hope jedi arent goign to be on the character selection screen heh.. anywayz the rumors and all are getting annoying i hope we hear some facts soon...

I find it hard to believe that jedi will become a starting profession. It doesn't make sense as it is a good way to keep people playing and paying for 6-12 months. What other content in the game spans that long?

and it won't apeal to a Star Wars fan, soon as they fire up thier lightsaber they'll realise they're not playing a Jedi.... log off.....uninstall game..... back down the shop...... refund please!

I think everything else is bogus. But I do believe that the starter kit will allow players to level up to level 30 offline in a single player version of SW:G, and once they reach level 30, they have to decide to go online or to stop playing.
That's My opinion anyway.
I don't think the info is fake, as Tigg's claims. Since Just about every Major Marketer has picked it up, including walmart. And Walmart doesn't just "pick up" info from other sites. They receive the press packages for the games, and THEN post the pre-order stuff. So, There you go.

It would be nice if LA did take over and give SOE the boot or at least take away any decision making torward the game. With the timeline gone and all the bugs in the game I would hope that maybe LA would come in and start to fix all the stuff that SOE broke, which includes the game itself.
