Thread: Forced Vis and Lava crystals.

THe devs have stated that some High end loot cant be traded from ToOw. I assume this means the lava crystal. If we want this andwe cant trade it, it meanswe'll have to do the quests with our Jedi which of course means getting on the terms.
Anyone from beta confirm if this can be traded or not?

same stats as banes and sunriders both which are an embarresment to swg

The lava crystal looks butt ugly to me. No way I want it. But knowing how things go, SOE will make it give more elemental damage than the BH or Sunrider crystals so that we all HAVE to buy the expansion and get it.

Hmm.. Interesting business model idea.
Make a combat system where everyone is about balanced. Next, introduce an expansion with loot that cannot be traded but will give a significant combat bonus which is will equate to a strong motivation to buy the expansion. Then, nerf the newly acquired loot. Rinse and Repeat =)

Where has it been stated that the Lava crystal has the same stats as Banes and Sunrider? 0 players on beta received the crystal. No one knows how it is gained yet. I have not seen a Dev post stating it would be indentical to those two. If im wrong, please point me to the Dev post that states its the same.
It is very possible that the damage bonus is greater then the other two simply for the reason that it's going to probably be pretty hard to get one.

there was a post on here with some1 that got the lava crystal and has a ss of it of him using it in his saber... stats i still dont know if its same as BH or SR

no it was gotten on beta and it looks like a carrot like chebacca said lol... it's a named crystal so it gets the special stats

Actually a dev was seen a few times using the lava saber. More than likely someone used a moded file and created the screen shot. I distinctly remember at the end of beta testers mentioning that the way you achieve Lava Crystal was still a mystery.

also remember we were never fully removed from certain aspects of the NDA.. some things I'm still not supposed to say, even to other testers O.o

Yeah, i know. However just about everything is known about the expansion at this point. It goes live in 2 days. I don't think they are too worried about it now. However some stuff I will keep to myself and try to beat the loot campers. We both know certain things will be camped in hopes of getting those new robes.

yeah, true. Why I cancelled my pre-order, I'll get it in a month or so when the major camping has stopped..hopefully.. O.o
I didn't check, but I remember reading they removed the "no trade" off a lot of items.. hope they kept it on those robes tho, or the marketplace is gonna go insaine..
