Thread: How Many Vets Will Quit If Their Pearls Get Nerfed?

I'm curious how many of you will quit if the Devs decide to change sabers all together, or somehow devalue the quality of the pearls we have in our sabers now.
It seems to me, that having better sabers is part of our privilege for having walked a different path, and having worked twice, maybe three times as hard as the current xp/bh system requires.
Im not sure its your privelage, but I do believe that everyone should have the same opportunity to create a decent saber. Its a little unfair that people who unlocked pre pearl/crystal nerf have things that are impossible for post nerf jedi to get.
I 100% believe that they should leave pre nerf crystals/pearls the same but at the same time DAMMIT fix the drops so everyone has a chance to create something decent. Whats unfair is the innability for those who didnt collect pre nerf pearls/crystals, have no chance to get them now.

didnt the post by the devs explain that those pearls made the game unbalanced and needed to be stopped IMMEDIATELY, or did I miss something ??

Dont start with this plz. Many people didnt have tons of free time to do that stuff. ME for example I have been playing since launch and I yet to make more than 3 mil credits and only have 3 prem pearls from pre cu, none of which are perfect.
The fact that people had more free time or started the game before someone else knew about it shouldnt be the reason why some have awesome sabers. I had to work two jobs so I could raise money for college or else I would have been playing more. just my two cents.

Game experience may change over time. Just because you leveled your Jedi in a different system does not make you any more special than anybody else - you didnt have a choice but to level in the old system, and new Jedi dont have a choice but to level in the current system.
The saber situation currently is unbalanced, and it needs to be balanced (in terms of equal opportunities) before the FRS comes back. Many pre-CU Jedi said newer Jedi dont deserve to get good tuning chances and supported the devs when they said premium and flawless pearls / crystals will not drop en masse anymore, so obviously it needs to be balanced in another way.

I'm not sure I would quit the game over it, but seriously my Saber is the last thing that separates me from Jedi who grinded their Jedi AFK in 3 weeks at the Ryatt Trails. I think if they ever make us retune our Jedi pearls they will stay premium and flawless and still have an advantage over the goods and qualities the kids. I honestly don't see them touching the Jedi pearls, because there's no need for it. People are exaggerating the fact that their sabers hit less, saying they only do half the damage that PreCURB Jedi do.
What WILL make me quit this game if they force me to redo the Jedi Knight Trials to get into the FRS. I have my Knight box, and I refuse to work through trials again to get into the FRS.
From what I'm seeing, a 5 Discipline system is being put into the game that require Jedi to complete quests in which they must master every Jedi tree to complete them, with the reward being a specialized Jedi Robe for each quest (hence the 5 new robes that have been put in the game).
Whether or not that will be the Jedi Knight Trials is beyond me. Seems a little outlandish until the FRS is EXTREMELY beneficial to Jedi, which the old FRS was not. However I would die to see such a difficult system put in, it would give Veteran Jedi something to work for in a way similar to the holocron system. I'm really hoping for a system that will take weeks or months to complete and hopefully that's what it will be.
Answering this with any certainty is absolutely premature. If they "nerf" pearls I would need to understand the reasoning. I would HOPE that at the least there would be a mechanism to get at least as good as I have, if not a tad better. And if that is the case, I would be miffed beyond measure, but do not think it would run me from the game.
But then I am a rarity it seems. I avoid fighting BH, and PvP for that matter now. I play my Jedi becuase I enjoy the "persona" and the friends I have developed over 2 years in the game.
Most the people who scream the loudest are those who use their Jedi to PvP in the GCW, which I personally disagree with. I think the Jedi of this time are supposed to be lower key, not leading the GCW. And CERTAINLY not on the Imp side leading Imp forces. Purely from a purist standpoint of course. The game is what it is. And it is NOT An Empire Devided form the standpoint of Canon....only in the video game..
So in this soapbox answer, they would have to screw me pretty bad to the point I cannot do what I like to do with my character for me to leave. I know that when or IF Jedi gets to be too much for me, I will leave the game completely. I cannot play other professions anymore...

umm hate to break it to yall noob jedi who dont have pearls but yeah, we are privaledged to have better pearls. You know the reasons why and I dont have to explain it again. We worked hard to get our jedi before all of you and thats why we were able to get pearls like that. If you dont have timne or didnt play as much etc then maybe this game wasnt for you. MMORPG's are competition and if you cant get an I win button DONT play. We got our pearls because we deserved them. Dont worry the devs gave everything else easy to you they will most liekly put your precious perals back in soon.
BTW, you can get good crystals/pearls...it is just a little more difficult to obtain an takes a little more time, but they are out there. So dont freakin complain and go loot them, sheesh do you guys just want a jedi master given to you or something? goodness.
