Hello

I have been going for this jedi profession for quite some time, and when I heard it took as long as it does I stopped reading up on it. And now that I am near again I find that alot of things for jedi ahve changed. Im sure there are tons of posts in here about jedi profession or websites out there to find what I need but I'm not really into this whole scene. I can figure out how to play the game but surfing the web just boggles my mind. If anybody could maybe be so kind as to post some links to websites that give good info, or even links to other posts related to my topic. Mainly all I would like to know is what would be a good template for a jedi to be. I know I wont ever be the strongest jedi out there so thats not a big deal, I just still want to have fun thats all. I would also like to know when I should use my respc token. I thank anybody who replies in advance for this information you have saved me much time as I have been looking threw these forums for the info I need and not been able to find it for the past few weeks.

sry to say but thiers no real jedi help website. jedi is nothing now anyway. i resently unlocked jedi, and i wish i hadn't. the cool thing about jedi is that they get cool tricks like cloak. jedi is useless now, theirs no rela reson for jedi but to line soe pockets with money. if u want help with jedi i will give u a small amount. get a group of friends friends that will go awase away to leave group so no unnessary vis, goto endor, very south. Like SE or SW on Bfin noone hangs out thier. exp will be slow but u won't get vis, if u have a respec or don't care about vis, MO, or Some places on lok. go up and get at bare minium 2xxx Healer i recammend 4xxx. these heals will save u from a bh.u may wanna get spin attack first to make exp come easier. so xx2x sabers, and 4xxx healer. then if ur temp has any defender in it like aura, go up that. then fill out the rest of ur template. i recammend a starter template of

4xxx healer,xx2xsabers,2xx2enhancer, and xx4x defender. This temp will give u inp aura, the 1.5k heals, spin attack, root and force run, shield(not really needed unless tu duel a jedi) and channel. along with Snare(Force Wave). this template will get u away from just about any bh. if ur temp doesn't include any of these sry i can't help ya

Hi,

When you say you are close, exactly how close do you mean? Have you finished the village and Mellichae encounter. Or have you finished the padawan trials?

I would say that if you want to play to enjoy there is no one correct template that you must go for. I don't really care what others say. Also when you were concentrating on you normal skills what sort of style did you most enjoy. I personally like the swordsman/ doctor combination but I also enjoyed being able to solo most things. I have had to change my style since the CU.

Another suggestion would be to look through each of the skill trees for the jedi skills and see if any strike you as really cool. This will be a personal opinion and others may disagree but it's down to you.

Yes these may seem open ended questions and comments but without a bit more info it's a bit difficult to help you.

jedi can now fight in groups and not get viz.

so get in a good group of 8 and kill tons of critters.

Just be carefull not to kill NPC's or be in 40m of a NPC or non-grouped player when your using the force.

At least with the jedi slot unlocked you can now have 2 characters on the same server with only 1 account.

That in itself has to be worth something.

yep that is a plus side to becoming a padawan..but the downside is starting the grind all over again, the XP you get compared to the XP you need per box could put you off, although some alt's can be done with a macro but most can not.

theirs nothink wrong with jedi except the lightsaber damage at the moment, and that does not come into play anyway really while grinding, only when your being hunted but if your careful you should be able to stay of the terms, but thats not guaranteed.

My biggest suggestion is to keep your creature level up as long as possible. I know there is a great urge to get a new jedi skill every time you get enough xp, but try and max out xp first. Don't get a bunch of level one boxes across the board, try and work up branches. It takes time, but you have to remember the amount of xp you get is tied to your cl, not your damage. Picking up low level skills will only slow down the grind. Save your token respec in case you don't like your template. With publishes every 3 weeks or so a lot can change very quickly. A template you like one week may be very different the next.

Well by close to jedi I meen about saturday or sunday. I got my 6 unlocks now. And I need only cap my exp one more time before I can fill up my last line. I know all abotu doing the paddy trials and then getting my alt.

My temp now is master sword and master tk. I am also aware that jedi has been "nerfed" and its not as good or complex anymore. I got this game to be a jedi, but at the time I didnt know it took so long and was such a hard road. I do stil lvery much want to be a jedi but I spend all the time and effort I cant see me turning around and staying the way I am.

I have no real intrest or really think I have at ever being a huge powerfull jedi. I just play the game to ahve fun. I like hunting and helping noobs and doing quests same as the nxt person but I dont like pvp. Sounds odd since I'll ahve to fight a BH sooner or later but for now I just want to ahve fun. SO basicly my question was just what skills I need to get to be a fairly descent jedi that hunts in groups, and when to use my respec token. I dont much like the area attacks and doing spinning or "tanking" but I know its very powerfull. I would like to use a 2h lightsaber, i dont like the double blade ones. SO thats pretty much my style, hunting nad helping people in groups, running up and hitting stuff one ata time etc. what would anybody suggest for a template like that?

Here is what I would do if I were you, have I known what I know now after the grind and havinga respec.

-get all of the lower boxes asap and make sure you keep your level at 80 at all times because than you will get full xp.

-once you have enough to respec to MD, do it! With MD you can tank for spin groups, you can also start spin groups...

-Spin groups are your best friend because no other way can make you 200-300k jedi xp an hour.

- First skill to get after MD is 0020LS because that is the area attack style. you will also need to start out with that to get all the lower boxes in spin groups.

- after 0020ls go for 0002enh so you can channel force (which trades some of your ham for force)

-after 0002enh go up at least 3000heal so you can keep yourself healed while grinding.

-at this point you would have a good idea what a jedi is and what other abilities are good...this is when you decide your template.

Spin Groups:

ok here's how they work and keys to getting them started in right path:

- If you are MD you will have the best defenses possible, with aura on you will get hit for about 90-110 dmg per hit but they will miss a lot so if you are doing pikets and you dont have heal yet than take a synthsteak 2-3 seconds after you firt area attack the lair. That will mitigate the initial rush of pikets and will keep your life stable. After the initial 40 seconds (assuming you have good backup in group that deals damage) you will have a constant number of pikets spawning and should only take you 3-4 more minutes to finish lair.... with a group of 5+ you can get about 40-50k from each pikets lair...at 5 min each and 1 min travel between lairs you can technically make about 400-500k an hour...but we arent accounting for the usual 2 members that are slow and regening all the time

- find the place where grinders hang out to pick up groups...on Lowca that's usually at MO on dant. and wait til you hear "Spin group forming" that's your q for "/tell Hey there, Im a double bladed ls jedi, have room for me?". People love to have jedi in their spin groups. Now after you get MD, you get into MO and Yell out "MD jedi formin spin group!" and within 5-10 minutes you will have a full group...that's how powerful MD is for a Spin group...it means they dont have to worry about getting whiped every other lair.

So hopefully you find this relevant because If I had to do it all over again then this would be the shortest route to take. gluck
