My very best suggestion would be to forget about Jedi, it means more grinding for a couple of months just for SOE to make money, and many other combat professions are now stronger and funnier than Jedi.

Anyway, I guess now you went so far you are not going to leave it , so here comes a couple links.

May the Force be with you, my friend. You'll need it

Ah come on now. I enjoy my nerfed Jedi ten times more than my alt. Granted the Jediare nothing now compared to what they were when they hit my server, but I play the game for fun, not to be uber.

Now before the Devs think "Oh look, there's a satisfied Jedi", think again. I can't stand the exploits that are allowed to haunt us, nor do I like being totally out matched by FOTM non-Jedi templates. There is also a great deal of Jedi content lacking, and absolutely no way to improve your toon without millions (over 100mil easy) or a MBH alt.

So to the original poster, congratz on unlocking, you should enjoy it, though play careful and watch your visibility, you cant gain skills if you're always in debt, and until you are at least 75-80% template, you won't even come close to competing in PvP.

#1 Remember to have fun....jedi can be very frustrating at times

Try to get all the novice jedi boxes first...it will give you a nice array of skills and some defense and more importantly it will increase the size of your force pool. Grab healer 2xxx or higher to take advantage of the 1000+ heals and don't really worry about other jedi skills yet because you can train those as they interest you.

If you are itching to use your respec I would switch to Master Rifleman because it allows you to handle any BH that comes your way. TKM and Swords are good professions but you will be kited by BH with some of the best gear on the market. If you have a good rifle you can kite them (with jedi heals and stims) and get enough space to run or hit hard enough to win. It is a long, hard road but it is fun.

Good luck.

My biggest peice of advise is evolve your template, like so:

Grinding Template: should include: 0002 Ehancer, 0020 Lightsabers, 4000 healer, 4400 defender (or force armour in Enhancer),

BH survival Template: should include: 4002 Ehancer, 0424 Lightsabers, 4000 healer, 4440 defender (or force armour in Enhancer, and aura or valor line),

Then you have choices:

Single Master Template:should include: mdef, 0404 lightsabser, 4000 healer, 4004 enhancer

Double Master Template:should include: Mdef, MLS, 2000 ehancer, 3000 healer

Dabbler Template:should include: 2000 Ehancer, 0404 Lightsabers, 4000 healer, novice defender (rest is up to you)

This example is based on a MLS/Mdef template. Why? Because its a good template to use till you have a 500 dps saber, and with the state of pearls these days might take you a year to get over 500 dps
