Thread: A different idea for those who want PVE Jedi only Discuss this one

Here's my idea

Link visibility to PVP. The more your PVP and duel . . . the more your visibility goes up. Quite a bit of the "content" in this game and through the expansions involves killing droids and npc's along with creatures. So even a careful jedi is going to get visibility by killing these NPCs and droids if he or she wants to experience the new content in this game. It's not logical to say the only way to stay clear of visibility would be to avoid the content you paid $30 for.

I still think visibility can be generated by showing off in public and it should stay that way. But if visibility is changed from NPCs and put on those who really PVP then everyone will win in a sense. Those who PVP can continue to do so and enjoy it. Those who wish for PVE can continue to do so and enjoy it. Everyone can continue being discreet in teh major cities unless they are trying to generate visibility intentionally.

The only acceptable solution is to remove visibility from NPCs and get removal from Terminals if you die.. Leave everything else as is. that way the "Jedi Hermits" can be "Jedi Hermits" and people don't have to see them.

Ok just shut the hell up there noobie. (Aka Dr cox scurbs )

Heres the deal samantha, your pathetic neurotic whining is beginning to annoy me, you chose to be a jedi knowing that you would indeed be attacked by bounty hounters.

Stop asking for a way out so you can walk around without fear, its people like you who are ruining the profesion.

Jedi is and should always have risks but be rewarded with power, atm you have less to fear than we did pre cu so just shut up.

Suggesting that NPCs not give visibility is in NO WAY a request to nerf our profession. I started this thread as an alternative to the other thread on PVE jedi. There are some jedi hermits out there who don't enjoy PVP and they have every right to "have fun" and play the game as a jedi hermit . . .maybe they are roleplaying as Yoda . . .who knows.

Again the jedi profession has been nerfed enough and please dont think I am at all suggesting more.

I too agree with the Risk for Reward approach. But right now we just have Risk. Where is the reward? I agree since I was a pre-cu jedi and I had the reward. Grinding in solo running around endor killing anything that wasn't a NPC. But the fact is things have changes awefully for jedi and there is no reward anymore. It's just risk with interruptions for forced PVP for some.

Ok, seriously, if your full template and can't kill a BH, delete all skills and become a crafter. Otherwise be a man and fight the BH, you cant be a Jedi without any risks.

BUT JEDI WAS NOT MADE LIKE THIS MY GOD DONT YOU UNDERSTAND THIS?????

DID YOU NOT KNOW WHAT THE CRAP JEDI WAS BEFORE YOU WENT JEDI?????

DID YOU NOT KNOW THIS WAS THE RISK OF BEING A JEDI AND THE CHOICE YOU MADE IN THIS GAME WHEN YOU WANTED AND WORKED FOR JEDI???

See this is the part that is insane... What the crap were you guys thinking then when you were throwing nades in the air....???? You had to know this is what Jedi is... Im sorry but you guys are the reason or a very large part of why we are in the state we are in now..

Again samantha let me stop you there.

It is in noooooo way forced pvp. You chose to unlock jedi knowing this, you chose to grind out a template, you choose to log on each time with your jedi.

There is a choice there for it is not forced.

Secondly pre CU there were more risks to a jedi.

I can defeat pretty much any non jedi now. The only thing that has severley weakened us, is having a force pool when we use action and mind.

Yes yes Iskareot I knew all this. I loved playing as a pre-cu jedi because of the whole risk vs reward concept! It was great! But now the simple fact is a rifle does more damage than a saber. We have been nerfed to hell and we have no reward for the risks that we must take. I know there is nothing I can do to make my jedi more powerful . . .but I still question . . .why should we be forced to accept this "risk" if there is no longer any reward.

Our risk is minimal. Only BH death, thats it.. nothing else.. I mean really, you get killed you stand up you go back to grinding or playing or questing.

Do this, if you hate the BH visits (because this is the only risk I see for a paddy).. You just lay down when the bh comes and die faster. should take like 60 seconds at best and then your clear and you go back to what your doing.

This way its not so bad and you get back to your business. I too wish we had things back.. BUT this is not going to happen and the day it does is the day Jedi is a starting profession and declared the day we lost it all.... respect that is left and any value or worth to Jedi is gone.

We have a smidgen of this left now with BH only as risk man... if this goes we are done for.

I notice you all attacking this girl/guy and I am wondering why. I didn't read her crying for a nerf and this change doesn't affect any of you. If you want a BH you will still get a BH. The people who don't PvP and want them will not get the visits.

Are you afraid more of them will visit you or something?

I don't mean to flame, I just want to understand the argument...

/agree OP

Since we pay for the content we should be allowed to play it without trash talking forced PvP'ers wasting our play time.

PS: I used to live on Endor too :->
