Thread: frs combat level changes????

I am wondering if each time someone advances in the frs they also advance in player combat level. For example: a full template padawan is level 80, but when the knight trials are completed will they make us level 85? then with sentinal 86? Whatever increment they decide on would be very interesting. IMHO this would be 5 stars if they did this. Would be very nice to see a lvl 113 Jedi Master player just like the npc's.

Then they would have to "balance" our sabers to do 1 damage per hit, and our heals to heal 200 health every 10 seconds.

LOL too funny man but, I have a better idea. Why dont they make it so thatmore than one bounty hunter could hunt us once we reach a certain level? Say around teir 4 or 5?

Would help and make our PvE damage better, but would make no difference in PvP, unless they raise the Health cap as well with it.

Full Temp Padawan = 80

Jedi Knight (rank 0) = 82

Add +1 for each rank or +2 at each rank tier

Not a bad idea as it does not imbalance PvP and it gives us a little benefit in PvE to catch us up with some of the rifles damage on normal PvE

I would have no problem with raising the health cap for a jedi knight or above. If they wanted to be really strict about it I guess they could only raise health at rank tier.

i fully expect not to see this, i am expecting to be totally let down and expecting to see basic miners in the DWB with higher combat levels than jedi masters.

Yes, that would be neat, but again... too many people would cry for a Nerf and we it would change the game once again leaving us less powerful.

I agree. It would be nice, and somewhat fitting with the SWG "canon" WRT a Jedi's strength, but SoE is VERY set on "balancing" Jedi to EVERY other combat profession. This would actually make a jedi much harder to kill, completely ruining their idea of the 100X grind with penalties for death.

Now theres a good idea and one ive been toying with myself. When/If we get FRS back and our premium pearls if we increase combat levels per rank in FRS why not let multiple bounty hunters hunt us. Sure its return of ganking but at higher level you would be impossible to solo. Id personally enjoy seeing 4-5 man bounty teams to take down a top ranking jedi master.

In short Jedi's get their power back BH's get the chance to form organised gank groups again something for both.

Well, the miners in the Dantooine Outpost may have a lower CL than a Jedi, but with SoE's single-minded mission to nerf the jedi, expect to have difficulty with load kills by them in the near future. In fact, a fully buffed Jedi Master may still have trouble with the miners. One word of advice: RUN! from kreetles.

More than one BH already CAN hunt a jedi. With the current system there are several ways. There is an exploit that I've read about where a BH trades a droid with the player mission loaded. A quick copy means that the second BH has the mission. The MUCH easier way is to just pick the mission with the EXACT SAME payout and story. This is guaranteed to be the same jedi target.

This means that jedi can already face three BHs per mission, and with two or more possible missions....well, you get the point.

I agree with keeping in cannon with the whole star wars system, not what SOE percieves to be the Star Wars system. A Jedi Sentinal SHOULD be more powerful than a jedi knight and that certainly goes for a jedi master. I mean really, a jedi master still at level 80?
