Thread: Could someone check these saber stats please ...?

It depends on your speed while handling the lightsaber = modified DPS.

Why is the dps "only" 560? Or is that what it should be, and I need to go for MLS ?
I think it is a really good saber you have.

I am confused about saber stats. I keep reading about pre-CU sabers and post-CU sabers, and 700+ damage, etc etc. ...
Maybe there is something I have not understood, but I get the impression that I should be doing better damage, because I think I have a good sabre (it has 4 premium pearls in it). Maybe it is because I am only LS 0404 and not MLS ... ? Or maybe the 700+ damage is the max damage and not dps ?
Could you look at these stats and tell me what you think please? Thank you.
Pearl 1: 116 dam, -6 FC
Pearl 2: 113 dam, -8 FC
Pearl 3: 114 dam, -9 FC
Pearl 4: 117 dam, -9FC
Crystal = Sunrider's Destiny
With the abovepearls loaded, the saber has the following stats:
FC 14
Dam 608-706
Elemental dam 211
Base dps 364
Modified dps 560
SAC 100
Why is the dps "only" 560? Or is that what it should be, and I need to go for MLS ?
Thanks.
PS: Before loading the pearls, the sabre stats were FC 48, dam 148-246, elemental 61, base dps 75, mod dps 115
Your dps does no matter. Ignore it. Max/min damage is the main important thing, dps is a just an indicator of damage divided by speed. The reason why you don't have 800 or so DPS is because your modified speed isn't 1 or less than 1, and that is not a problem. On my jedi and on my alt, I can commonly hit for between 1-3k damage in the right environments, with my 400 dps saber, or my 450 dps rifle.
Dont forget to factor in the speed of the saber... ![]()
This dictates the final DPS taking into account your speed mods from LS trees and the saber damage.
Thanks for your answers, but I still don't understand.
When people refer to the good "700+" sabers, where does the 700 come from? Base dps? Modified dps? Max damage?
The previous answer even says i should look only at base dps, which is 364 !!
Am very confused :/

I guess what i was really asking is, how do I know if my saber is a good one? Is this a 9/10 sabre, a 7/10 sabre, a 5/10 sabre?
10/10. You would be extremely hard pressed to improve. Currently, without premium pearls drops, it is basically impossible. Congratulate yourself, as you shouldn't bother trying to improve.
Ok, thank you all ... the 700 refers to the max damage, I think that helps me understand. I'll also try experimenting a bit more as the other reply suggested.
Thanks everyone, it is clearer to me now.

I think I have a good saber and yours is a lot better than mine. I would say its 8/10 where mine is a 6/10 in comparison.
Off the top of my head, my max damage is 666 and my force cost is 31 (ouch!) with a modified speed of 1.59 and a SAC of 95.

9/10 I would say. 10/10 would be 720+ max dmg / 95 SAC / 9 FC.
"Post-CU saber" just means it was crafted post-CU and contains only "good" pearls (which hardly tune to 100 dmg / 8 FC or better). Any saber around 650 max dmg / 100 SAC / 15 FC can compete pretty well with BHs and is great for what is possible just using post-CU components.
Seeing your saber stats, I would say you should sell any pearls you loot since the chance of improving your saber by tuning a "good" pearl (which are the best ones dropping) is close to nothing.
My "high-end" saber is 619 max dmg / 98 SAC / 28 FC, and thats a post-CU crafted one containing 2 "premium" pearls I looted pre-CU (my others didnt tune very well) and 2 post-CU "good" pearls, and I would rate that one at about 6/10. Out of all the "good" pearls I looted post-CU so far, only one increased the damage by 6 points - "good" pearls usually tune around 55 to 75 dmg / 0.15 spd / -3 to -6 FC.
