I heard that Force Valor is really effective in helping block ranged attacks, however my question is in regards to the DMG reduction it is claimed to have. What kind of damage reduction is this? I have seen the dmg reduction of skills like FR2 and FR3 and if the reduction is anywhere close to those - then Valor in my opinion would not be worth it.
If the dmg reduction is huge, when strategically should you use Valor?
Thanks.

no reduction, at least it didnt when i had it,and the only thing to worry about besides the blinding light it emits each time its activated is the force cost of maintaining an extra macro.

We'll it doubles your saber block and has no negative costs other than force. I use it and love it . Tke that for what it's worth.

Really? interesting, it sounds friggin COOL then! The only thing I am worried about is that the description of the ability states that we are to take a dmg reduction. So now I ask the question...LMAO...when are they going to "FIX" it? I think I may still go for it - that sounds nice.

If you are doing 3 lines of Defender 4044 is the way to go now. The ranged def line is borked, except for adding 12 pts of innate armor. Valor doubles MLS saberblock.

i am not sure about this but you talk about different valor, the description in ls 0002 says it gives a damage reduction, but if you go ls0004 there is not damage reduction for improved force valor

I was testing lots of things last night. This is one of them, sence I had just recently dropped x4xx for xxx4 (BEST MOVE IN DEF I MADE outside Aura)
Imp Valor ROCKED!!! I was tanking several ranged at a time, and they were barely hitting me, and when they did, Imp Inf took care of it for the most part.
I also watched with the same /headhit on the mobs with Valor on and off. I would go from appx 620 dmg per hit to 612 per hit, so it has a reduction, but it so minimal that its worth the extra defence.
Even the extra 25 melee def vs Melee is worth it IMO.
Get it, I did, and am not looking back. I am going to be looking at Aura vs Imp Aura tho... seems they broke it too.
/sigh

You can also get a drink with good chefs that give +25 to block called Vayerbok. It has a low fill of about 15 on average, lasts 15 minutes (stomach empties the 15 fill in 4 minutes) and works just as well as valor with no force cost and extra macros gumming up.

Wow that +25 block food works? so with valor 2 and MLS, you'd have 75% saber block?

This been thoroughly tested? I've heard almost unanimously that this doesn't work for Saber Block as Block and Saber Block are two different skills.

We tested it several times last week and it worked just as good and in some cases better than Valor.
