Just throwing this up for testing and discussion.
I noticed when fighting a Master DOC / Master BH last night that I didn't saber block once in a30 minute fight. I am a MDEF : LS 0424 : Enh 4004 : Healer 3000, with a medicore saber. Usually, I either block or dodge most energy based ranged weapons. In this case I actually stopped fighting for about 5 min and the FWG she was using just kept coming through, hitting about 90% of the time. That number alone is very high for a ranged weapon against a defender. Yes, she was using the cool down timer bypass and spamming critical shot, and I was running Aura and eating ranged defense foods. No, I didn't loose nor was in any real danger of loosing. Yes, she healed for between 1200 and 2000 damage at a time with no mind use. But, those things are unimportant for this discussion. What I am wanting to test and get feedback on specifically is if anyone have tested kinetic ranged weapons against saber block and other defenses to see if they are bypassing Jedi defenses and not just the PSG's.
Any feedback is welcome.

They all work the same, I believe eating accuracy foods increases chances of hitting regardless of LS block.

Don't know for sure, but I'm a MLS, had Ranged Defense food and Dodge food. BH was using an LD-1, 5 shots, all hit no blocks or dodges.
5 shots for 900+ = Dead Jedi

Food for thought. But a BH would have to get a huge boost from accuarcy foods to overcome nearly 900 points of ranged defense. Assuming of course, any of the accuracy to defense bonuses actually work as intended.

Don't stack your ranged defense anymore, eat melee defense food. THe chefs have determined your defense is based on what weapon you're holding. Melee defense is your defense to both melee and ranged, WHILE holding a melee weapon.
But yeah I'd be curious about saber block testing as well. Maybe someone should just run a few tests on it ingame.

I just went to do a little bit of testing. I fought some variant of Cu-Pa on Tatooine (they had ranged attacks). I stood there for a few minutes and let them shoot away. Not once did I block anything and I'm Master Lightsaber.
I have also seen a recent screenshot of a BH flooring a Jedi in 8 shots and not one of those was blocked either.
Perhaps Saber Block is broken.

Thanks for the info. As luck would have it, I just read the thread about defense foods a few minutes ago. I'll remedy that problem pronto. I'll also try to get with some guild buddies and test to see if there is a difference between ranged energy and ranged kinetic using saber block with and without foods, and Jedi specials.

I know a rifleman+MBH that has 330 accuracy and can swallow in another +210 denutrium-pyro (and perhaps +80 crispic if it stacks).

I know I've seen block happen in the last few weeks, but like most I've not really paid attention to it. I wonder if it's really work, 25% at MLS is still something we need to make sure that works. I wonder if the block food really works too on top of it.. someone have time to test? heh.

they dont stack and thats about what my acc is as well hits enhancers pretty well with my ld-1
and too the original person who started the thread i get blocked alot and normally on my first strike with a snipershot which really stinks.
it seems alot still gets blocked from my experience as a mbh.
