Improved Power Attack misses about 60-75% of the time now. I've seen this attack miss 9 out of 10 attacks while an opponet was KD'd!!!


Using Lightsaber Master with around +20 accuracy mods and +60 melee accuracy I would like to think I shoudl NOT be missing this much.


There's been others who have also expressed there's an INSANE rate of increased misses with one of the latest patch/publishes.


This make less sense to continue to play a game where a player is not supported nor encouraged to play based on SOE's intent to, as Blix boldly put it "...install toiliets in the middle of the living room".

I use corellion ale religiously and i still miss 50% of the time with power attack, i don't even have it on my toolbar anymore i just go with other hits...

was this pve or pvp? would need to understand the framework of your test...


If this was PvP then we would need to know the template of the person you were fighting along with foods/mods and such...your accuracy vs their defense could make a huge difference....

I'm seeing reports of other professions are missing a great deal more so it might not be Jedi related. Either way I don't log on anymore and won't until they address our valid concerns.

Everything is messed up. Half the times attacks wil display adn cost force although they do not register in combat spam even though they are displaying gracphical effects from attack.


Armorbreak is another one, can hit with it and it does nothing. Not even dmg. Not even show in combat log. Doesn't apply state.

I use a armor break, KD, Power attack Combo religously in PVE. MLS with an extra 47 acc through tapes (25 dbl bladed and 22 gen melee). Ive gone from landing about 75% to missing about 75%. I also use a head, body, leg hit combo almost always landed all three now it more common that I only hit2 out of 3 with all three landing being the least common.


Ive been noticing this on the Corvette and the Avatar platform. I dont have screen shots of before and after Pub24 combat logs to support this but Ive noticed it as well as the fact that Aura and Deulist Stance does not seem to be doing what it used to do. (Ie not just the being missed more but also pushing the damage down towards the min weapon range)


I halfway think that the ACC vs Defense mods are bugged/broken in someway. Its either that or They REALLY beefed up the AI.

I have to agree. I use PowerAttack regularly PvE and notice the misses have increased significantly since Pub 24.


Another stealth nerf......

I am master swordsman and im missing a lot with power attack, also im missiing a fair bit with other attacks aswell.


I was fighting sith today and used armour break, KD, power attack.on the same sith twice and all six attacks missed. It cant just be a bug cause how can the same thing happen to the same sith twice

What it appears as:


They likely created a to-hit modifier to be equated based on lvl and status of opponet in PvE.


Thus a lvl 90 elite will be harder to hit then a lvl 1 nuna. The problem is this does not support the game play nor the intensity that players are seeking. I understand the move although the cause/effect were obviously not thought out. I'm amazed by some of the features that are devised as "necesarry" for this game when we have numerous broken issues which affect game mechanics and prevent players from continuing quests.


Players who are able to exist in a bug free environment _will_ bring additional players into the game. Growth is good when it exists to serve the player base. Growth of game mechanis which exist as a new avenue for more exploits and non-working game mechanics encourage more and more players from renewing their subs and _deffintly_ causes them to tell their friends "Oh! Do not play that game!! The developers are muppets installing toilets in living rooms and lack the mental aptitude to ask 'are you sure you want this in the game?'!!!"

Have the same impression. Just went after two lairs and the miss ratio was way higher then usual. Even managed to miss the lair several times
