Thread: New LS concept!!! DEVS PLZ READ

Had a great idea after playing KOTOR 2 today. I think the crafting part of the LS should be changed. I think it should be more difficult to make an LS. Dont base the LSaround crystals and pearls as much as thefine crafters.Ok we have a huge problem with lack of anything useful from a few crafting professions. Why not break the LS down into components. Say a DE makes the lens... an Artisan makes the hilt.. etc ..etc.I think it will be much more interesting for the LSJedi. i think it will be a huge boost to crafters if it were done correctly and the market will have new revenue. And before the flames start, remember the headline says DEVS PLZ READ.

Wont happen. Way too cool for Jedi. It is all about Nurfing Snaring now.

would love this to happen it would bring back a lot of dead crafting professions and will stop all the "Drop" issues cause the crystal/pearl element wont play as big of a role (if its done right)

not saying theres really anything wrong with it.. but its rather drab and boring... I want to be able to make a saber that if it stinks I'm the only one to blame...

Atleast someone is trying to come up with new ideas but like someone has mentioned already DEVs dont respond to us in any form other than Snare Nerf. The other problem I see is that a Lightsaber is supposed to be a very difficult item to craft (which includes the specialised components inside) and is part of Padawan trials.
A Driod Engineer may get away with creating a Focusing Lens for example but the Poor Artisan making a Hilt may end up on the Terms

i know devs dont respond to these but they read them... i see a few players' threads with dev response. note the word a "few". lol

Doesnt sound stupid at all! Nah, I actually like it more Imputs like those Crafters would be able to make them very effective... Like we set it as... new Skill Enhancing to have Crafters make Components!
