Thread: An idea on why jedi is slowly getting nerf after nerf after nerf

thats pretty stupid, go back to the way it was, many people work too hard to get where they are. I don't have the luxury that others do to play for hours at a time i only get on for 2 hours at the most during the night because my family comes first and this game is something fun to do. Now to take away from the game would be to cause a lotta people to quit. now why would we want perma death? that is stupid. I have not been on since day one and I'm not entirly sure what the perma death was but from what I hear you lost your charactor permanently after so many deaths, well if that is the case, and I work months to build a jedi and he dies permanently then I would most definately quit the game because that would take away from the fun completely. now I could be wrong but anyone who takes months and months to build a jedi or any char for that matter would quit if they lost that char after so many deaths. if jedi, die permanently then every char should do the same. so there leave it the way it is. if people dont like jedi, then maybe the devs should make other temps stronger as well but stop all the nerfing, it is ruining the game.
Jedi used to take much longer and was much harder to get back in the hologrinding days. Jedi then was for hardcore power gamers only and people want it to be as powerful as it once was it should probably go back to the way it was

So you know you're about to use your character dont play your jedi for a 2-3 weeks. That's why alts were given to the jedi in the first place.
Jedi is still for the hardcore grinders. When it takes 12 hours to get 2.5 million jedi xp in a really good spin group, that is hardcore. 12 hours of game play for me is about 2 and a half weeks.

At 4444 LS, 2002 enhancer, 1000 force healing pre-cu I got a million in 12 hours. Idid not have perfect pearls and I was not the fastest grinder. I did 600k in a few hours the other day and realized how much of a joke jedi truely is. Your a power game because you can get 2.5mill in 12 hours? That's a good joke, it took me 3 days to get the mls box not a day and a half accoring to how much you get. The jedi grind use to be a lot harder, I heard guild members talk about how long it took them to get novice LS, it took them well over 8+ hours pre-cu. Then a guild jedi who unlocked capped jedi xp at 90k (before he had a novice box) and I thought to m yself how stupid is truely was. At least pre-cu it took effort now it's just nothing. I pity everyone here who did not get the message saying they unlocked a jedi after mastering a 30th+ profession, and not being able to swing that saber in kinetic armor with a saber tef and perma-death. Those were the days you didn't go out and finish in weeks or even months...Your logic is a joke especially when you add up all of the double XP a ton of padawans got in the first few weeks of the cu.
From the very beginning they decided to make jedi playable.
That was their mistake.
It is obvious that there will be lots of jedi after certain time. How old is SWG? 2 years? This is a game afterall.
After the 1st unlock, that person spread the info oreven if she did not, theJedi population will grow, despite whatever restrictions are put on.
Bring back tefs, perma death-whatever, there still be more jedi today than a year ago.
They tryed perma-death before and they got rid of it for a reason. If they do bring it back,(never-ever-ever will), they will HAVE to beef up jediBIG time. (For 'balance')

I beg to differ from the op, my alt is better at PVP than my Jedi, and I've played my Jedi much much longer.
Same here, and I play my alt more! Not because he is stronger but because I feel running around in ST armor with a pike is way more of a gcw then a character with Jedi Knight running around trying to kill stacker templates. Only PvP the jedi gets is in a guild hall with duels from guild members to practice. Not that I believe everyone should do this I am just saying that in PvP it is more fun to see rebels and ST not jedi.

Perma-death would be worse today then ever. If people think that perma death is going to be good then they're nuts. All it is is say ing "Yeah give jedi a ton of power, all 8million of them". I agree with you there will always be more jedi, you are 100% right.
