Lets hope this stuff wont cost millions per crate ![]()
Every melee who pvps will be buying this stuff like crazy.
The name of this latest 'debuff' drink proves that this current crop of generic developer hacks have absolutely no love for Star Wars. It is nowjust a game, a product to be pushed for sale. As long as the franchise keeps the doors open, we'll get more stupid names like Rancor Aid, more weapons like that new sword (looks like the horn off a rhino) and other 'could be any fantasy game' content.
Shame on Sony for selling the SW soul down the lavariver. Shame on GL for letting it happen.
Coming from a Jedi with a 700 damage saber on Live, this will basically make CM's a joke. Believe me, I like this new drink. Don't underestimate the power from this because essentially in PvP it removes a big advantage from the CMs. With the new healing changes I only need a min to kill them, *if* this drink does infact just remove the snare state and make us immune to a further elect drain.
Coming from a Jedi with a sub-par 500 damage saber on Live, you'll still have trouble but it does make things easier than they are now.
Let me just say with the new Action costs to healing, I don't ever think the filling will be a factor. I can see myself killing a CM before my stomach fills, that 100% know this for a fact after seeing a BH's action drain super fast when they tried to heal my attacks on BETA. Anyone with an average saber, hmmmm not sure.
With that said, Devs definetly need address the pearl issue ASAP. With the Jedi profession definelty becoming weaker every patch, it seems devs are balancing things ASSUMING you have a high damage saber. If I had to guess it's going to get to the point you can't play your Jedi until they put the pearls back in (if you don't have the high damage saber). If I told you how hard PvE on Mustafar was even with a 725 damage saber all you without one would probably start crying lol. Lets just say the Jedi profession will definetly be the weak link in PvE unless flawless/prem pearls are introduced into the game again.

the only thing I dont like is that it is a specific counter to EDrain. They could of made it effective against all the snares in the game, but instead have it single out only one.
I think I can answer that. EDrain was unique in that I believe it doesn't base a hit or miss on whether or not a player has good defenses. It also lasts 2 mins where the typical snare lasts 15-20 secs.
I've dealt with the new snare and it's not hard to counter it as long as:
1) SL buffs are balanced for BH - meaning no super attacks
2) you need a ranged crowdcontrol special. Whether that be from MLS ranged K/D, Powers ranged k/d, our Snare, or our Root....you need one of those to really combat this snare. If you don't you'll be dead.
Regular Melee shouldn't have to worry as much as Jedi because PvP today is a group thing.....if a Melee is caught alone they are actually worse off than any Jedi could be. Since Jedi/BH is *supposed* to be 1vs1 dueling, that's why Jedi needs the ability to counter snare.
Or I could be wrong and this whole situation makes all melee professions worthless (including Jedi)....I guess we'll find out soon.
