Thread: Force Crystal...tested
gives you +900 mind...
like the +2000 health one...it gives you +2000 health ![]()
Actually that is not a good test of it either.
A good test would be to get your mind down to about 50%... use the crystal and see what the percent says. Theoretically if you have 3000 mind, then when you are at 50% your mind would be 1500/3000.
Now when you use the crystal your mind will either be 1500/3900 or be 2400/3900 (depending on whether or not the 900 you added has to be regen'ed or if it is already there). You do the math on the new percentages but it should be close to one of the two.

That would seem to be a good way to test it,but alsoif the mind crystals gives both 900 to the max mind pool and also fills up the current pool with an additional 900, 1500/3000 mind pool would become 2400/3900 mind pool. However, if this were the case, then the percentage should jump to around 63 - 64%.
I have already tested this crystal in several ways and found there to be absolutely no benefit. Our correspondent has posted in another thread (no link handy) that it acts as a mind 'heal' but my tests of shown this to be false as well. All tests were done on different days to ensure that no previous mind buff was applied. No response from the devs or our correspondent on these test results that I am aware of:
- Used in an 'idle' state. No combat, full health/action/mind. Dueled a friend and tested to see if percent of mind used on advanced force heals were lower than before the crystal was used. No change in amount of mind used.
- Tested during a duel when mind was about half. No effect on mind 'total' (i.e. no heal at all) and no noticeable effect on mind regen.
- In an idle state, I stacked Avoid Incaps to eat up all of my mind and timed the mind recharge without food or other regen buffs. Did the same after popping the mind buff crystal. No difference.
So again I ask, what is the benefit of this? These go for millions and I fail to see why.
