2 years is too short if you want to make it a veteran reward...

And would only lead to more "hate" because of the "true" jedis that didn't became jedi as a gift.
You know, like everyone spits on jedis that may have bought their accounts... But even worse....

And that would only lead to something else : jedi as powerfull as any other player.

Jedi, mabie not.... But second account slot, I would say yes... I played 18 months as a master crafter, was a core part of the community, spent just as much time in the game as combat templates, but I have never been given the opportunity to open a second slot...

Anyone who think there are too many Jedi should start by deleting their own. After that they may complain about there being too many Jedi.

I think the influx of new jedi has slowed already, the Combat XP exploit of nading has stopped with the introduction of 30-1 conversion. They should have just made nades do nade damage and added that to the weapons list, but that would have been to easy.

But saying that I think the numbers of new jedi unlocking now are slowing down, friends of mine are finding it alot slower to get their force sensitive boxes filled, in the combat trees, so their testing other things out. We've also hopefully seen the back of Ryatt trail AFK grinding, I've been down there a few times to do missions and even do abit of grinding but it's empty now.

And lack of pearls has meant that unless people have a stash their sabers pants so their not showing off their skills so much.

I think alot of this problem has arisen because where pre-CU alot of Jedi would play a solitary life not getting vis, normal chars wouldn't come across them so often, and they weren't like flashing Trafic lights standing in the middle of other players.

When the CU was introduced I had no choice but to grind and get vis, we had a totaly new play style one that required groups, but punished us for being in one by giving VIS. BH have only become more prevalent as their was lots to find and kill easily.

I've actually noticed the number of BH hunting Jedi has decreased alot partly due to less on the terms, some of us try to be careful as we're still like babies out the womb hiding and running at every blue dot lol, and also some RP's have gone back into their hiding mode, also the Devs have made the payout from doing NPC missions so much more rewarding and easy to get that why hunt a jedi you might have to stand and fight for an hour or God forbid have to actually use some tactics to hit them while they are mid fight with a lair etc (I have serious doubts as to whether that was intentional as I really don't rate the DEVS ability at furthering this game).

So I think rather than even think of introducing a new way of getting a glow stick we should just get used to the way we have to do it now.

Now someone mentioned a vet reward of a second char slot, that might not be a bad idea, other games already allow multiple chars on the same server, it's a better idea than changing other game mechanics.

being jedi is more of a punishement than a reward now days.

Dude i was just saying this to my m8 a couple weeks ago, i think it is a great idea. Even if its just u cant get glowy until u have played the game for 1Year. as in u need this badge. Then u have to do the Village. I know peeps that have 4+accounts and have all there chars lvling together so they can get jedi on them all at the saem time using macro afk grinds, then they sell the accounts on E-Bay. So at least it would stop peeps from going out buying the game and getting Jedi 18Weeks later or just buying Jedi on E-Bay.

You have the exact same opportunity as every other player in the game to open a second slot -- everyone knows how, and nobody is excluded. By remaining a crafter you have chosen not to exercise that opportunity, but you cannot claim to have never been given it.

all soe has to do is make 52 quests that take a week to do each before you get to the village. if you miss one then you have to wait till it comes around next year. that way you will have focused players who really want to be jedi becuase of the dicipline, not because they are power grinders.
