I don't like it. Its basically saying you can buy a Jedi for $179.88 (1-year) or $359.76 (2-years).

I sort of like the idea. I'd say change Jedi so that you can't become force sensative until after one year of game play, but leave the unlock system in place. The unlock system also needs beefed up, it far to easy at this point. Also, becoming full template is a joke under the new vis system, we need the old system back.

at least one year of play you would understand game dynamics better...now you just need to grind 3 days to get a tkm/mcm and then macro grind the rest of the points.

Hi folks,

Im a pre CU Jedi and despite the debate of there being too many Jedi in the galaxy I personaly havn't had a problem with it until recently.

Due to there being a lot of complaints about the influx of new Jedi I was wondering what you think about having Jedi as either a first or two year reward?

I have always thought that one of the pre-req's to get into the village should be 1 year of gaming, but that will never happen.

To market this game and to get more customers, SOE must market the jedi aspect of the game, You can be a Jedi!!! otherwise nobody would ever sign up. I would expect that if you took a census of players and asked, when you FIRST decided to purchase and play SWG, what was your primary goal? I bet that at least 50% would say, become a jedi. My two primary goals were to become a Jedi and to own a YT-1300.

Jedi, mabie not.... But second account slot, I would say yes... I played 18 months as a master crafter, was a core part of the community, spent just as much time in the game as combat templates, but I have never been given the opportunity to open a second slot...

This would be cool, 2 year vet reward 2nd slot is a fair thought on a single account non Jedi man. This sould be a push.

(only issue here is if you unlock with one of them) -- I would have to guess you do not get another account.

ROLF. A reward for like playing a while? You must be joking.

On second thought, might as well. Most of the rewards in game are as useless as our profession.

I see what you are getting at, but no. If the goal is to slow the influx down, then have a 1 year waiting period before you can start grinding.

Anyone who think there are too many Jedi should start by deleting their own. After that they may complain about there being too many Jedi.

QFE

giving jedi as a vet reward is just a bad idea

I think the influx of new jedi has slowed already, the Combat XP exploit of nading has stopped with the introduction of 30-1 conversion. They should have just made nades do nade damage and added that to the weapons list, but that would have been to easy.

Exploit? You shouldn't call something like that an exploit, the devs knew about it for AGES before they actually did anything about it, and even then only because there were too many jedi floating about. If it was an exploit good and proper then they would have fixed it nearly straight away, not around 8 months after. And before you say anything, yes, I did use nades to grind FS. And why shouldn't I have? It was the easiest method available to me, the one that took up less time. It's just a game after all, and I still worked my@ss off for 6 months to unlock after 6 months of trying out other profs. I have what's caled a "social life" you see.

I also did it during double exp week, does that make you feel any more revulsion?

I think I earned a little break anyway after my respec got screwed up and i had to regrind 149 skill points on my temp.

Oh, and while I'm at it I should point out that I partook in Ryatt AFK grinding. I never got killed by a bh once in my time in the Ryatt, and made some nice exp too.It was good fun
