Remarkably pointless class at this time.

I've played every single incarnation of the class with my Jedi, Pre, post 9, etc. I got to see it all.

I agree that Alpha classes do not work. I never looked at Jedi as Alpha, just as remarkably special. Well that is gone at the moment. Not because there are so many Jedi. Not because its easy to get, a situation caused by the Developers themselves.

Because it is broken. On every single level it is broken.

Jack of all trades master of nothing.

None of the movie concepts of Jedi have carried over except the Saber, and even that didn't translate well. Lava sabers? Oh my god. Does anyone up there care about how that further erodes the iconic nature of Jedi? Are mood sabers next?

When they revamp it I will come back I suppose, although it will be a long time in coming I fear. And I thought they were done with the nerf swinging but good lord.

All that time and investment . . . over 39 million Jedi experience . . . and for what?

If any Developer reads this post, which I sincerely doubt because they don't come here much anymore, and if Star Wars holds any value for them, please start over and salvage the most amazing icon of Star Wars that Lucas ever created.

For my friends on the board, I hold you in the deepest regard and respect. There are some AMAZING players out there playing Jedi who aspire to making them something more than toons with glowsticks. I have been proud to talk to you in PMs and on private boards about ways to save the Profession. Now I suppose its all up to SOE to wake up, but I do not believe anything can rouse it to action.

I hate to see any Jedi bow out of the Galaxy in frustration, however, I understand and salute you

May the Force be with you

Dont mean to flame.

But maybe the DEVs are doing this on purpose. I mean, with the past track record, I wouldnt put it past them. But, Im thinking they will continue to nerf the Jedi until they go down to suitable numbers. ..sorta like the current SWG timeline of NO Jedi...not 400

Just a hunch

I was going to flame...but decided to hold a candle instead. Your observations are bleak but widely accurate. Flurry is at a loss with your passing.

Thank you Pyrate. Means a lot.

Really tried hard to help. I am on a private board with a number of the Jedi greats and the mood there is quite dour. How can anyone blame them?

Then the devs need to step forward, do the right thing, and admit it. Dont try to push us out with nerfs, just come out and say: "ok folks, Jedi are done, we are getting rid of them" either way, I am going to take my money elsewhere, but with this kind of honesty, I would at least be inclined to try other SOE products since they are honest to their players. But this kind of garbage? nah, I'll take it to a competitor instead. Ball is in your court devs, make the play.

after all the frustration ive had with this game i swear as long as i live ill never subscribe to another SOE product, the way they treat their customers is absolutely appauling, and even if they did come forth at this point and started being honest,it wouldnt matter to me,the damage has been done

If they really are trying to nerf the numbers of Jedi to come in focus with the timeline then they will once again take the game in ANOTHER 180 degree turn. They need to cut their losses and just try to salvage what they have, in addition to the customers. There are people who play/pay this game soley for the Jedi content.

Myself, I'm just hanging around because another game hasn't been able to really grab my eye. I've been here since EA announced it was closing E&B, and so far nothing has been able to grab my attention.

When I came here, I loved the game forall it'splayer created content; the cities, the economy, crafted gear, the GCW, rare & wonderful Jedi.... Now the cirties are ghost towns, the economy is in a state of run-away inflation, crafted gear is all about the loot and at the upper end really has no variation, and the GCW is overrun with Jedi that have little or nothing else to really do. The CU did little more than change Dot Wars into Heal Wars, trade one form of stacking for another, and guarentee that playerswho mixxed combat skills with crafting/entertainment would not be able to effectivly compete in either. The CU also changed crafting into something that no one wanted or asked for. It's more noob friendly than it was, but how many new players do we really have seeking to craft at an elite level?

I'm seriously hoping that SOE has a method to their madness with these Jedi fixes/nerfs. Not too long ago, every CH was about to leave the game thanks to the changes that were put in with small steps. Once we could see the entire re-vamp it made sense, but in it's parts it was one game breaking feature after another. A little communication would have gone a long way there. I'm hoping the changes to Jedi are the same as that was, and soon we'll see the whole picture. I'm also hoping that the Devs learn to talk to us. Something as simple as 'Wait till you see the whole picture, then you will understand. (Most of you anyway... Some are beyond reaching),' would do a lot to ease my frustrations.

Come Nov, there's a whole slew of new games opening up. If SOE borks ToOW/Pub24 and something else lookspretty good, I'll move on... If not, then I guess I'll hang around some more.

What i don't understand is why players don't expereince the nerf first before making decisions. As an example I read that a BH on TC snared a jedi , and the BH in question still ran slower than the Jedi with FR on. So the nerf is not as complete as it may seem.

They lowered the XP and changed it due to customer complaints. Why doesn't eveyrone relax a bit and see what happnes when it finally goes live.

My 2 cents.

This was the very first online game that ive ever played. But i hate to say it I may be right behind the OP.

Too often players and the devs have a mindset that professions should be balanced with 1 on 1 pvp in mind. This mindset is ruining the game. The benchmark for balance should be determined by the role a profession plays in a group setting. As long as the current mindset continues we will never see uniqueness among the professions, nor will we ever see individuality within a given profession. We will never see the SWG universe expanded as the focus will only ever be balance pass after balance pass after balance pass.

Because like the XP change, this stupid crap should never go live in the first place. They were told that about the xp changes, and they *still* pushed them live anyway, changing the xp display system at the same time to try and mask it so no one would notice. That alone has completley shot our trust in the developers. They lie to us, and cheat us out of a good playing experience. So you are damned right we are going to jump on every little BS garbage change they try to puch to nerf things even more before it ever goes live. because quite apparently, they do not give one damn about how the playerbase feels the game should be.
