I don't think it's hard to see a very simple pattern here, one where most Jedi are being nerfed to the point of uselessness.... the healer nerf, the snare to AI, and apparently very soon a cloak nerf. Not to mention the fact that getting the pearls that could actually make a lightsaber useful is all but impossible (unless you can spend 50+ million on pre-CU prems).
Personally I don't think SOE really anticipated the huge influx of new Jedi who were able to grind the village before the XP nerf, especially those who were able to take advantage of pre-nerf feral wookiees and/or double XP weeks. The result? An overpopulation of Jedi, and among them the bad apples that will use Jedi powers in ways that were not intended... which inevitably results in a nerf a few months later.
TBH I don't think the situation is likely to get any better in the near future... until more people stop playing their Jedi toons and/or cancel their accounts. This is the only thing that's going to get SOE to give Jedi a much-needed revamp. Jedi *should* be stronger than elite classes, but due to the nature of many players, should not be given powers or abilities that can be easily abused in unintended ways.
Once the player population starts to decline again (as it almost certainly will a few months after the release of TOOW), maybe SOE will consider making Jedi useful again... but until then, we can expect to see many Jedi powers and abilities continue to get the nerf bat on a steady basis.
There might be a light at the end of the tunnel... but seriously, don't be surprised if things get a lot worse... before they get better.

/sigh This isn't a cloak nerf, it's a skill change due to the new "cloaking" powers offered to Rangers. Read up and stop complaining.

Yes, I have already read all of the threads on it... it's still a nerf.
Sorry that you mistook this thread for a complaint. It isn't, really, it's actually about acceptance that being a Jedi will probably not be much fun for the next few months... Acceptance is not complaining.

I'm hoping (cuz I don't pray) that the new expansion IS the content we're all dying for AND that it is available Nov 1st as planned. New robes, FRS, PvP, cool missions, etc are all rumors I hope are true.
I also think it's funny that the reversal of the new group XP changes they made would have solved our over-population problem, but as a player base we decided it wasn't worth the hassle of a slower grind.

i completely agree although were stuck, we can quit for not liking the game or quit to help other people to get jedi better, now when the people who quit see that has become better come back then the population rises and we are here again, just my theory though

new robes - they won't work.
FRS - will be exploitable
PVP
missions - they won't work either.

has there ever been a change that made jedi more powerfull, i dont think they would ever switch us back after they nerf jedi down to novice artisan, i do agree that jedi will be nerfed more and more, but the cry to nerf us by regular players will never end.

Hmm, I don't remember Padawans being overly powerful anyway. If the rumors are true and at Knight we become the Alpha Class again, then I'll understand all we're going through.
