I've been gone for a while. Is it possible yet to drop all Jedi skills and drop below 24 FS SP? I didn't see anything in the stickies about it.

Thanks

Right, but before I thought you couldn't drop padawan and you needed to keep 24 SP tied up in FS stuff.

I believe that is still the case, unless someone who's done it can testify... because to my knowledge, they didn't allow us to drop the padawan box.

In addition, depending on what FS boxes you picked up... they can only enhance your abilities as a normal toon... and the Jedi Padawan box doesn't take any skill points.

If you can drop your padawan box, I believe you'd lose your 2nd character slot also.

You can drop any Jedi skills you want. As for your FS boxes, you need to maintain 24 boxes (6 full trees). If you wish to change from one tree to another you will need to pickup a 7th tree (4 more boxes)first and then drop the extra tree from the original 6 of your choice.

According to CS this isn't the case. I have spoken to 3 separate CSRs and they have all told me the same. The only way you can change your FS trees is to drop out of Jedi, or if you were a pre-patch 9 Jedi, there is "theoreticaly" a way w/ the old respec. But she was very fuzzy on that.

To drop Jedi, here is how. You can re-roll your alt all you want. Nothing funky about that. Now if you want to change your main. You will need to do either...

a) Make your alt a Paddy, you can then re-roll your main, drop Jedi, w/e you want and not lose the 2nd slot.

b) Drop all your Jedi skills, then DELETE your alt!!!! You can then drop paddy and change your FS skills.

I personally this is a BS deal. The game system has changed a lot since they started these trees, and respecing them, or at least allowing a re-grind method, like the one our Cor mentioned would be only fair.

Now as I stated, I got this from 3 Separate CSRs. I would be thrilled if I was wrong. If our Cor can get the Devs to post something formally, that would be great. I would like to change my trees, and even have the FS xp already ground out. But after talking to the CSRs I didn't change anything.

I was actaully thinking of doing the same. For those that ask why, it's b/c like the OP, I find Jedi boring, and I play my alt far more. It's hard to forget Paris once you've seen it, if you follow me.

I have recieved serveral PMs from people who have tried to change their FS skills in the way I mentioned above. It HAS worked for them. Until the Devs clarify this that is what I have to rely on.

I do not know the answer to your skill dropping question..BUT the game is much better than it used to be...combat is much more strategic than the old spam my best special until you die pre-cu days. Much more fun now IMO

No desire to turn this into a Dev flame session, but if you ask a straight forward question about game mechs. Why is it they can't just answer. it shouldn't be too hard to try it out and tell us, if they really don't know. I would really like to change my FS trees, but I'm jsut going by what CS has told me on 3 separate tickets. I think it's less the CU driving ppl away and more the continued attitudes of the folks that run it. I've played several mmorgps, none as long as this, but when you ask a question, they answer. Some CS crews even contact you outside of game on your personal e-mail, and continue to help, until it's solved.

I'm jsut at a loss how asking a simple question about game Mechs, can't be answered.
