Thread: Targetted by Bounty Hunter while Cloaked

Maybe I don't read the boards enough, or maybe its working as intended, but I got hunted today by Meepx (good job meep, better luck next time), and he was able to target me while i had Force Cloak on. Is there something in the code that says that cloak doesnt work on bounty hunters who have your mark? Testing with guildmates, everyone lost targetting on me when i cloaked, but this didnt seem to effect Meepx. Not only was he able to follow me around as i tried to lose him, but he was able to attack me and get me knocked down. I did manage to escape, but cloaking seemed to have to hand in my escape. Anyone have any input?

using /target will allow them to target you even when cloaked. I thought this was supposed to have been fixed though.

BH used to be able to attack you indirectly by attacking other things with AOE attacks. Were you standing near other mobs?

Lastly, there are some bugs in the game where you may think you are cloaked but you are not actually. Maybe this was the case?

we tested the /target command, and it didnt work, so that got fixed in the publish, but you are able to use other commands like /pointat and other socials to point in the direction of the cloaked jedi, (which blows). but this doesnt solve the question of how he was able to hit me with an attack. I was on endor hunting, but i wasnt near any other creatures at the time.

There is an exploit where you can use commands like, /underhandshot (name) to be able to attack cloaked jedi.

/follow (name) is still working even if the jedi is cloaked.

There have been instances where a cloaking Jedi may appear cloaked, but actually isn't. If you find this to be the case, uncloak then recloak.

Perhaps he should open a CSR report to have it investigated. If it's an exploiting BH, he needs to be punished. If it's a 'bug' than the devs need to know about it.

He was exploiting the system report him immediatly. They are punishing exploiters, one BH that did this got suspended just last week. And remind them when they're doing it that SOE is banning them.

There are alot of BHers exploiting to kill Jedi now. And they're all getting banned too thankfully. I've seen 3 BHers BANNED over last week. Two for outright exploiting, one for coming up and talking pure trash telling us to take our skirts off and get on our knees, and well you know. Wait, 4 BHers. I forgot about the one that came up and demanded 500k from each player to stop following us and trashing us.

So apparently they like being banned.

If he could target you while you were Cloaked then he was using an exploit. The Dev's have stated that using a "/command name" is an unintended exploit of the in-game command systems.Take screenies and post them on the CSR forum, as well as /reporting him in-game.

The sad part about this is that the Dev's will end up having to further nerf "/commands" to probably fix this, and as most know they can be extreamly helpful in largescale PVP and PVE.

I have a cloaker. Once when I attacked I stayed cloaked, without realizing it. A known bug. When I realized that I was still cloaked I ran away and apologized to the guy. I thing about it is that he was able to attack back because when I hit him his character auto-targeted me. So if you we attacking him while still cloaked this could have happened.
