Forced-pvp have nothing to do with roleplaying at all.
Actually it did. I knew that as a Jedi being wanted by the Empire. If I pulled my saber to defend myself others would be open to attack me. This made me learn to hide my abilities in public, and only show them to people who I could trust. I did so much more RPing when saber TEF was around. Instead of adapting your RPing around the system. People such as yourself decided to complain.
Just so you dont get all high and mighty, I am an avid role player, never wear jedi robes, never have my saber out except in combat, never dual in public. However I also accept any dual AS ITS OFFERED, not after I have buffed the living crap out of myself and ensured a win. I do this because in a role play situation, if I guy pulls a gun and wants to shoot me, im not gonna reply "oh wait a sec while I buff myself". no, your a carebear, you want this to be a one player game with other characters just being mobile scenery that can talk back.
It's spelled duel, and duelling is not roleplaying.
I can agree with you on this point. I never dueled with my Jedi. I only drew my saber to defend myself from attack.
this has nothing to do with role play, and everything to do with not wanting to get beat in pvp. well thats great, and you got that option with the ability to be covert, but no, you wanted more, you wanted to not have to role play while still being able to blast the storm trooper in the face, so you got that too, and then you wanted to be jedi in a time when simply being around a jedi was illegal and they were constantly hunted, and NOT role play that either. no your not a role player, and dont speak for the ones of us who are horribly sad that this isnt a full time pvp game where true role play can happen, like catching your enemy unaware, and ambush.
I am completely lost to what you talk about.
What he's saying is basically you couldnt hack the PVP part of Jedi so you complained and cried till the profession was dumbed down.
Good job buddy, you got your god mode... I wont be leaving the game, well I hope not anyway, but Im not happy with these changes. they destroy role play, not encourage it.

As far as your comments referring to me earlier. I agree that we needed more ways to earn FRS XP. We could have had mission terminals set up in the enclaves which gave out light/dark specific missions. Light missionscould haveincluded destroying a high lvl NPC sith to arbirtation missions to find peaceful solutions. Blame SOE for not having the vision to encorporate those things.
This dosent give the Jedi profession back to the RPers. youve probably lost quite a few good RPers who were able to adapt and still roleplay in the system that was given. Im sorry you, and others like you wern't able to just adapt.

Sorry for you who became Jedi to own the server, I guess Jedi was just given back to us roleplayers, while playerhunting was ripped from BH's like a candybar they never deserved.
And no more frs...
The oldtime griefers can as well quit over theese changes, and make room for my old friends who they managed to grief away.

Sorry to see you didn't enjoy the PvP apsect of Jedi. Alot of us did like have BH's coming for us, not all did and that is understandable.
I didn't become a Jedi to own the server. I became a jedi because of a sunny summer day in 1977 when I decided to go to the movies with my friends. The day I saw my first lightsaber. As a child a dream started to someday hold one. A foolish dream that sat on the backburner all but forgotten. As an adult this dream transformed into a love of Star Wars. Yeah I'm a huge Fan.
This dream was rekindled when Monika/Akimon unlocked the first jedi slot. I did my proffesions finaly unlocked, it's been a great ride eversince. I'm not a pvp god like some of the other old school Jedi. I enjoy it, I enjoyed the BH attacks. I will be sad when they go away for good.

It's people like you who bascilly made this game go from being unique to be like every other product out there, and you must have mis-read these changes were made to enhance PVP, your Jedi is just as strong as any other players character outside of trader, so you gave up all your uniqueness so that you can collect xandak heads. We are playing Battlefront 1A

i do so remember those days, we got flamed left and right during that forum event. even thought we put point on top of point on how bad the system was the leet speak and forum flamers eat us up and completely ignored everything we had to say and only thought about themselves.
this is indeed a great day for the rpg'ers out there, im trully gona love sitting back and watch the little worms crawl and whine there little hearts out over this, im sure you are too. now its there turn to feel step on. finally the game will be based on fun and not power.
no amount of flames could change the joy i feel right now ,ahhhhhhh.
