That is fine!! Let them have jedi. Let them grind it in the new system. They can start as a jedi now!!.

But can you honestly say to yourself that it is fair that everyone now can respec and instantly have a lvl 80 jedi? I have a life!! That is why it took me two years to become a jedi! Do you think it is fair my accomlishment is pointless now. Do you think it is fair that someone buying the game today and grinding to level 80really fast should have a lvl 80 jedi just like mine in the respec? This is ridiculous. Let them start as jedi.. but don't let non-jedi respec to jedi.

Veterans loyal? I read this forum alot. I thinksome peoplesview of loyalty is seriously warped if thats what you call loyalty. It one long line of crying and lobbying. I think this is funny. Eat it you bunch of whiners. LOL. Im kidding, and I am only talking to the whining pro's out there btw.

Well it took meages to get jedi but atm I don't give a ****.
Jedi is not what it was back then .. well whole SWG is not what it used to be!!

I know what you're saying man. Previously jedi was rare and very powerful, but they had to hide cause everyone could attack them.

Then they nerfed jedi a bit, it was still very powerful but jedi were more common, cause only BHs could attack them. BHs could easily group up and get a mission on a particular jedi of that jedi was out in the open too often.

Then they nerfed jedi again. Everyone has easy to access to jedi via the village and can grind in groups to get XP and complete a template in a month. BHs can only get random missions.

And now they are making jedi accesible for everyone and it's classed as a normal profession, with no extra dmg or anything. When a BHs kills a jedi there is no XP loss.

I must say I very much like these New Game Enhancements cause the CU sucked crotch, but I don't really like what they are doing to jedi, especially to the vets.

I think the account processing server will go nuts soon..

I want to see the look on the managment faces when they read the chart of cancelled accounts lol

SOE doesnt owe you anything, didnt you have FUN in that 1yrs time?

i think i had more fun grinding up all my jedi toons rather than being completed

i feel sorry for the new guys, not having to watch over your back for other people, trying to stay away from npcs, people, everything so you dont get on terms, kind of gave the jedi more of an elite class feel

But the fact is we worked hard and long to have a profession that was more powerful than the rest. And the fact is was difficult too get meant not many people were jedi. Now all that work has been for nothing. All new players that step into the game can be just as powerful as us, as if we've never played either.

I'm going to have to side with the PO'd jedi here.

I've been playing this game since August of 03. I've FINALLY gotten enough xp banked so that I can get my jedi with 3 more unlocks. Just unlock and train, train, train, train....wait for next phase, rinse and repeat.

I've never been a power-gamer, per se, but I've put in my time and considerable effort to achieve the status of Jedi.

Now...you can start out as FS and "quest" your way toJedi? WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU THINKING SOE?!!?!???

So yes, I'll respec to Jedi, (since I obviously won't be able to do the last 3 unlocks.) But I'm outta here if one of 2 things happen:

1) This game turns into some FPS as rumored. I'll log out and cancel the minute I see the new interface.

2) Some Joe Schmoe I've never heard of before goes boasting in Coro how he just bought the game X ammount of days ago and is Jedi. That's utter BS.

So, like the poor SOB I am... I'll hang in there to see what it turns out like. I've hung through the first CU when 80% of my friends left. This however, might be the final straw.

I do have one question though, which hasn't been answered on any of the threads I've read:

What about the players, (like myself) who are ready to be Jedi? IE: have the xp banked and are waiting for the village cycles to unlock? Will we be eligible for the rewards, or are we just screwed because we didn't unlock soon enough for SOE's liking?

Guess I'll find out soon enough...

And if things go to hell...maybe I'll see a few of you in the Star Trek MMOBeta early next year!

But VETERAN players who worked hard deserve a hell of alot more IMO than some level 1 jedi

loved the game

loved the grind

But it seems to be more about money with SOE atm
