Thread: Jedi Hybrid.... yes or no...?

I finally get a chance to do the trials in just a few weeks time so was hoping for some feedback from anyone that has tried a Jedi Hybrid template.


What I was thinking about was.... Master Bounty Hunter, Defender x3xx, Enhancer xxx2, Healing 4xxx & Powers x4xx


Would that above template work for PvP and agains't other BH's....???


If you don't think that template would work can you give me an idea of what I should be using...?

keyword in your subject is jedi why the hell would you want to still be a bountyhunter, pretty lame if you ask me, however if you want to be a special half-breed then try doing melee mix, for instance tkm mpowers 4000heal, or mswordman mdef 4000heal, as far as guns go if your gonna be a half breed pick a better profession then bh, go for pistols and smuggler with cloak and heal for a shady character, a true rogue.

Kinda need either Mdef or TKM in your template for hybrid profs, you cant use heals / channel etc when you put armor on, and you cant unequip armor whilest in combat, so....

i think you have to have your saber in hand to do any jedi specials.

First of all I'm thinking about going hybrid so I'm something differant from every other jedi out there.


The cost to make a saber even close to being average these days is insane and will cost a fortune..!


The main reason I was going to keep Master BH was for defence against ranged and other BH's as well as there unique ability's such as Dueilst stance etc and it sounds like it would be a good fun template for PvP and I also prefer being a ranged guy over melee.


A added bonusabout it all is I willonly need to dohalf the amount of grind needed to complete my template.

yes most active abilities do...but it is feasible to get round that, i beleive someone posted a post on macro's he uses to get round (de-equiping weapon)that as a power users w/ranged weapon.

There are certain requirements for entering the FRS, a number of Skill Points assigned to Jedi skills so u may not be able to do that if ur a Hybrid.. But also as the others said u will not be able to use armour and jedi skill at the same time..

Oh ok.... didn't know you couldnt do the healing etc with armor on....


Thats the reason I made this post... so I can get feedback and work out exactly what I am going to do once I finish the trials.


Ranged defence +230 Melee Defence +140 would of been lovely though


Well looks like I may just go back to my previous plan and go:


Master Powers, LS x4x4, Healing 4xxx, Enhancer xxx2 & Defender 1x4x Would that be an ok template against BH's, PvE and PvP....?

If you want to have a hybrid character, you have to be only doing it for the fun/RP factor... if you think you'll be as fully capable a full template of either non-jedi or jedi, you will only be sorely disappointed.

If you really prefere ranged over melee, just go Master Powers with zero in sabers... very viable when combined with say Master enhancer without the need for a good saber.

I don't want to try to make you not do a hybrid, but you have to really question yourselfis this what you want? the reason that is that most hybrid templates can only be easily acheived with the use of a respec... and if you later on decide to change to a full template to say join the in a future FRS you'd have one hella a time trying to get there.

Sounds ok... but

Being Master powers... the need for saber technique line isn't that neccessary, so you could put there elsewere once you made a decent saber, say force speed/run line.

m8, that temp need 5 more skillpoints to be valid

only room for defender xx4x

I'm using a skill calculator and it all fits in leaving me 3 skill points..... and thats of course including the 6 Tiers for Force Sensitive stuff
