First of all I'm thinking about going hybrid so I'm something differant from every other jedi out there.

The cost to make a saber even close to being average these days is insane and will cost a fortune..!

The main reason I was going to keep Master BH was for defence against ranged and other BH's as well as there unique ability's such as Dueilst stance etc and it sounds like it would be a good fun template for PvP and I also prefer being a ranged guy over melee.

A added bonusabout it all is I willonly need to dohalf the amount of grind needed to complete my template.

If you want to have a hybrid character, you have to be only doing it for the fun/RP factor... if you think you'll be as fully capable a full template of either non-jedi or jedi, you will only be sorely disappointed.

If you really prefere ranged over melee, just go Master Powers with zero in sabers... very viable when combined with say Master enhancer without the need for a good saber.

I don't want to try to make you not do a hybrid, but you have to really question yourselfis this what you want? the reason that is that most hybrid templates can only be easily acheived with the use of a respec... and if you later on decide to change to a full template to say join the in a future FRS you'd have one hella a time trying to get there.

Cost isn't that high. Gathering the resources is a snap if you have a crafter alt toon or crafters in your guild. The only problem is getting a decent tune on pearls and crystals. You literally have to hunt quite a few krayt, and you need a good crew to do it. Three to four people will get it done, with a MDEF to tank a bit. Worked for me.

LOL no probs m8, you were worrying me there as finally thought I found a template that I like

So with that template how do you think I would get on against BH's and in PvE/PvP...?

In general a MP w/saber dabbletemplate are usually best suited to more group oriented pvp/pve... but can still fair well against a bh, with most bh's being use to a melee mark, not a ranged one...

How you do in PvP/PvE with a certain template really only comes with time playing it, and getting to know your strengths, your weakness's... knowing when you are taking on too much etc. If you've played a ranged/melee mix template before, good it will help you get use to the template quickly, if not you might have trouble in the beginning.

I was a tkm master enhancer 4 x x x and had a blast with it... great support in pvp but 1 v 1 was dismal due to entire lack of damage output, and not so great in DWB because lacked area taunt.

I never thought to macro weapon changes so half a master box away from master powers now...

The main thing you need for hybrid is either master def or tkm. Armor being the reason.

Since you can use passive powers while holding a non lightsaber, master rifles master def healer 4 x x x is still viable, which is ridiculous to me asI believe that was the exact profession they were trying to nerf... but oh well. Also master defender healer 4 x x x master swords would be quite powerful. Just my opinions.

I'm pretty sure what they were trying to nerf was full template Master Power Jedi using the seperate cooldown timers on ranged weapons/Powers attacks to dramaticly increase their damage output.

MRifle/Defender hybrid templates are a lot of fun to play and can be very effective, but they are not as damaging as a ranged stacker, and they're not as survivable as a full temp Jedi.

Myself, given the timeline were supposed to be in, I would expect to be seeing far more hybrids running around than skilled Knights.People that are adept at the force are going to be getting informal training at best, and would more likely not even really realize what it is that makes them special as in young Anakin's case; he used the force as part of his daily life without ever knowing he had gifts that set him apart.
