Thread: The good way to experiment the best saber

Materials:

- WDG Station as close as +45.0 as possible

- +15.0 LS Crafting tool

- be in a Research Center City

- have a +20 or more lightsaber experimentation suit

- food: pyrollian cake +15 assembly results

-drink: bespin port +25 experimentation results

- have your server best resources for lightsabers

- craft in advance tons of Refined Crystal Packs (RCP)

- have the experimentation/assembly Force Sentive lines (i don't unfortunately)

How to:

01-equip the suit

02- launch crafting tool

03- eat a pyrollian cake

04- choose the schematic put resources + 2 RCP inside

05- assemble it and look at resulting percentages (on my server great/amazing success gives 27/28/27 but once in a while an amazinggives me28/28/28 which is better)

06- put 8 points in efficiency line and 3 points in damage at the same time

07- drink a bespin port (if you're full you can try without drinking)

08- press experiment

09- if you get "great success", cancel the craft and go to step 02

10- after numerous tries you reached step 10, greetings

11- now you have something looking like 51/92/27

12- put 1 point into efficiency (the last one)

13- drink a bespin port (if you're full WAIT until youcan drink then do it)

14- press experiment

15- if you get something below "great success" go to step 02

16- you crated a nice saber, now check percentages again, if it's 51/95/27 (on my server) that's good BUT sometimes you can get a 51/97/27 with an "amazing success" (not all amazing gives it)

17- jump to step 02 until you successfully craft 10 of them minimum then choose the best

On my server (chimaera) the best you could get is 52/97/28 I guess which represents 250 to 252 max damage and 95 SAC with FC 48 and the basic speed. Those numbers are for reference.

End Note: 2 sabers with the same ending experimentation percentages do not have the same stats at all (talking about hidden decimal and sometimes even shown numbers). Try them to find your best.

Ive read that its better to experiment only 1 point at a time. So it would be , experiment/bespin port/experiment/bespin port/experiment/bespin port until you are full then wait for your stomach to empty and then continue.

almost perfect, very useful!

I just disagree with this:

-craft in advance tons of Refined Crystal Packs (RCP)

The reason is that crafting refined crystal packs while crafting can help to keep your stomach empty. Usually it's full after 6-7 bespines. At this point I go on crafting RCPs.

Each time you experiment you get a chance at anything from an amazing success to a crit fail. For your method, using the +20 experimentation suit w/ MLS (or a +25 with x/x/x/4), you would need 11 Amazing Successes on your experimentation to get the same results that he gets by using all eleven points and doing it once.

So, if you do use 1 point at a time (and you're stomach will fill before you get to 11, btw), and you do manage to get all Amazings, I'll buy us 2 tickets to Vegas

Personally, I'd rather try for 1 Amazing rather than 11 in a row

Well in the weaponsmith forums they would disagree with you. I posted a question reguarding this and they all pretty much agreed that only experimenting 1 point at a time is best.

I have a weaponsmith toon and I don't waste port nor fill my stomach one point at a time. I get my amazing successes in the first or second attempt with all points going into efficiency, and whatever is leftover, usually one or two points get speed or damage. I do that with all weapons, LS included. Some components depending on function get damage or accuracy.

Experimenting 1 point at a time is a wate of time. doing 8 great success of 1 point each is as good as 1 great success of 8 points. If you don't believe me, test it. I did the testing.

My alt is a WS and I have made my best results by experimenting 6 points at a time. If you get "amazing" with 6 pointsit's like you just got one free exp point One by one is the safest method, but it won't give the max results.

You should of just linked to the Crafting Saber FAQ that was created post CU. It was very useful to me.... especially when it described exactly which stats per resource were important in LS crafting. The "best" may be confused with which as the most 900's, not which has 900's in the right spot.

And definitely experiment 1 pt at a time, and drink port inbetween each one. You all may want to look for new Besin Port too. I do NOT drink +25 (cuz after 8 drinks I'm full), I used +22 port that has a lesser filling so I can drink it for all 12 of my experimentation points.

Also, pay attention to max stats. When you have 96 SAC with 2 boxes left in efficiency, do NOT waste those points there, you can only get 95 SAC, save those 2 points and drop em into dmg.

Sorry I assumed people know how to read their schematics.

This is just a bad idea. A plain loss of time.

This is depending on people. Though I feel personnaly that efficiency is more important (far more).
