Thread: The good way to experiment the best saber

You should of just linked to the Crafting Saber FAQ that was created post CU. It was very useful to me.... especially when it described exactly which stats per resource were important in LS crafting. The "best" may be confused with which as the most 900's, not which has 900's in the right spot.
And definitely experiment 1 pt at a time, and drink port inbetween each one. You all may want to look for new Besin Port too. I do NOT drink +25 (cuz after 8 drinks I'm full), I used +22 port that has a lesser filling so I can drink it for all 12 of my experimentation points.
Also, pay attention to max stats. When you have 96 SAC with 2 boxes left in efficiency, do NOT waste those points there, you can only get 95 SAC, save those 2 points and drop em into dmg.
Sorry I assumed people know how to read their schematics.
This is just a bad idea. A plain loss of time.
This is depending on people. Though I feel personnaly that efficiency is more important (far more).

that seems like a ton of work and i have pretty close to those results. I just got an isnp buff, have the best resrouces, ate a poylin cake, put 7 into eff got 98 sac 48 fc. Put 3 into dmg got 248 max like 151 min and it was a great succuess only. I guess i could waste 300k more on items to lower sac by 3 points and up damage by 10 points but doesnt seem worht it.

If you don't think it's worth having a better saber then keep yours

2. Your view of a loss of time is interesting... I cap SAC with6 points left this way.. your way, I have4 points left. Makes about 35pts difference in total dmg, which almost puts me in the 600 club.
3. Why waste 2 experimentation points on Efficiency to get -1 SAC??? So you can make up for the 100 mind spent during a 30min battle, vs the 2500 extra dmg you could of done putting these last 2 points in DMG???? You obv didnt read the portion of the post that said YOU ALREADY HAVE 96 SAC. You can't do that without much efficiency experimentation.
Again, if you are gonna try and educate people on what to do, make it thorough, assume nothing, and give sound advise. Your original post was good, but not great. I did your method for quite a while, though on my last 6 sabers, I've tried these few changes and gotten much better results.
We're not on the same server and chilastra have better ressources than chimaera if I remember it correctly (think you can even get FC47).
35pts difference in total damage? What have you smoked?
Since when mind is the Jedi main issue? Main issue is action. Are you even jedi?
I used to craft 1 point at a time, and would get Amazings almost every time, I'd say about 7/10 would be amazings. So it worked great at that time, and it made it worth the time to craft one saber with 7 amazings in it instead of waisting valuable resources on several sabers.

BUT, now I've found that I can't get ANY amazings using one point at a time. For some reason. Its real strange, but I found out that if I put at least 4 pts at a time I get almost ALL Amazings! Its weird. I havent tried using 2 or 3 pts at a time yet, but I will sometime.
BTW, my three guildies also aren't getting Amazings using one point at a time, so something weird is going on.
And yes the answer to the 'weirdness' may be the server we are on
Anyway, for now I use at least 4, or all at once. Once whatever bug this is gets worked out, I'm going back to one at a time.
the more points you experiment the higher the chance for amazings..also the higher chance for criticals...but with food and drink you get amazings rather easy.

I used food and drink, we all did. We have the best stuff on our server, a 45.00 crafting station, 15.00 tool, +25 bespin, +15 cake.
Like I said, before, LOTS of amazings using one point at a time. NOW NO AMAZINGS one point at a time, and using the EXACT same things that gave me them before.
Something happened, there is another thread where other people are talking about this a few weeks ago, me, my 3 guildies, and several other people in that thread have noticed this.

1. If you are trying to create something people will use as an education piece, do NOT assume they know anything.... Education 101.

Great post RosaShaynne. I thought I knew crafting reasonably well. You tought me something new.I may have to redesign some of my sabers now.
So I guess you have FS experimentation branch. I don't have and never had 7/10 amazingduring theprevious 11 monthes doing 1 point at a time.

Oh and another thing thats going on now, when I craft, the cake dissapears when I assemble, and the port stays, if I dont eat the cake again, and experiment, then the port starts to dissapear, BUT still does not give me Amazings. My guildies noticed this too.
Of course lol, do you know at least what these food/drink do?
- cake boosts chances to get amazing at assembly phase
- port boosts chances to get amazing at each experiment phase (need to drink 1 per experiment)
It's working as intended (even though we don't notice a high raise of success on those 2).

No I dont have FS exp.
Yes I know what those drinks do, I'm not a noob, I'm a day one player, and master of most of the crafting trees, BEFORE the hologrind.
And No its not working as intended. Cake is supposed to last for the whole time, even tho it only effects the assembly. The port which used to also dissapear on assemblys (because there is an experment involved) do not dissapear now. Also, If I re-eat the cake while I'm still experimenting, it will STILL Disssapear, and the port will stay. Its not working right at all. I believe this has something to do with the fact that I got 1 amazing outta 75 tries.
It may hvae something to do with the fact I play on BRIA, and its code got corrupted. Like I said, 4 jedi noticed this, plus several others in a different thread.
