Thread: Is it worth it to come back yo SWG?

I am curious as to what everyone thinks. I left SWG in May this year, mainly due to the CU...but also because I felt the game was broken. I was curious...what would make this game worth coming back to? I really enjoyed the space aspect, and my Jedi fighter and ARC...but didn't want to use them due to decay. Someone willing to give me an idea of what has changed...for the good or bad...in the past 4-5 months?

(Yes I know this is in the Jedi topic, but I figured why not post it in the most read forum)

They've fixed "some" bugs and added some pointless things. Then they created more bugs. I'm probably not the best person to answer since my account has been cancelled and im not gonna renew it.

If you quit because of the CU, then I guess you shouldn't come back. It's still here.

I wouldn't say the CU was the only reason. I liked the concept...but didn't like the idea of having to relearn the same game...over again. I would say more so the ability to not be able to solo anything at CL 62 was the nail in the coffin. Just curious as to how it has progressed?

It hasn't progressed. I feel like it's gotten worse. All the game is now "Looking for high level group!" or "Looking for spin group!"

I came back after the CU.
Was great to see some of the old names still around and kicking, and those that returned like I did.

However I have my Jedi now (the one thing I wanted since I started playing before there was a jedi). now it seems i'm just playing until DDO gets released.

Not worth it.. but go ahead try it.. ive got 5 weeks before i renew.. really thinking hard about it but havnt been able to log in for 2 weeks just out of the simple fact the game is a dead end and is pointless. try a few pubs after new expansion. i say a few cause you know nothing is gonna work!

I have to agree with thepulse here. I feel the same way... I have played since launch,I have defended this game over and over. I quit for 4 months once but missed the game and came back... Now I feel like all I do is grind..and grind... and grind. I'm broke all the time because I chose not to exploit and run third party programs. With each patch comes more problems. Now the DEVS have even went so far as to make Premium pearls extremely hard to get...after a long period where they were very easy. So the people who were in the posistion where they went and killed the Krayts all day collecting the pearls while they were soloable are now rich as crap and have these UBBER ELITE lightsabers. It's not fair to those who started later or who didn't spend 20 hours a day grinding. Basic ly the DEVS at this point su<k and it is still countles empty promises. The only goal they have is to find new ways to sap more money from peoples pockets versus fixing this game. This is probably gonna be called trolling and I'll probably get a nice little ban from the forumns but that's how sony does it. Frankly I really don't care anymore, if you couldn't tell by my post.

Cover Up, Over Hype, and LIE LIE LIE. I guess maybe they hiring politicians to run thier company.

Well after playing this NGE for a bit I realize that SOE has messed this game up beyond beyond repair. (other wise known as FUBAR) The only way to really fix this game would be a complete and total server wipe when the next version comes out. And I myself believe that SOE will eventually get to that point if Lucas Arts is dumb enough to continue granting SOE the License for this game. SOE has not given a crap about the player base so a complete server wipe will not hurt any of thier feelings, destroy every hour of hard work you have put in..........but then again they have all ready done that so bring on the server wipes! WOO fricken HOOOOOOOOOOOO

I thought as you do, and I actually came back. It's not worth it, waste of money.

The game has gone to complete crap now.

Spin group?

It's a boring leveling group where everybody huddles around a lair and area attacks, takes no skill, is boring as hell - BUT - gives huge xp.
