depends. the ranged defense you don't need since your mellee, so to you that is pointless to have. but force armor does make your force pool go down a bit quicker since it uses force to mitigate a bit of the damage. I personally have both aura and force arrmor. just my play style at the moment.

Actually, ranged defense is much more important than melee imo. Since 90+% of the players is ranged, not mentioning the BHs, it's more handy than melee def.

My two cents.

but atm its broken... its a defence whilst holding a.... weapon mod not a def vs a .... weeapon mod - so 4xxx def is more important than x4xx def

With 4440 Defender the Force Armor is not worth it. You have enough defence with the innate armor and aura to survive.

It's worth remember that eventully the FRS will comback and most the combat will be JvJ.

I have it. Have had it most since they fixed the Force costs on it. Think it's one of those, you either hate it or you love it.

The Force cost isa strainin a heavy, drawn out fight, even using the Improved version. It makes your Force bar drain rapidly if you get shoved into a tanking position (which I can't really recommend). But it can get you out of a bad situation at times. I very strongly recommend it being stacked with Defender's Force Aura xx4x line to help alleviatesomewhat the impact on your Force barfrom incoming damage.

I've enjoyed having it, but I'm pondering moving on as I find it more and more hampering tomy constanly evolving play style. Will prolly hang onto it though till after the Expansion hits Live. Love the rippling Force animation though when yah get hit.

I had both and when their both running at the same time you will lost alot faster then if you just used Force Armor by itself.

It's very easy now with food, drinks and tapes to get over 500 accuracy. Aura with the melee and ranged def to back it up is only good for PvE.

arg... want to confirm to everyone that ranged defense does not help at the moment.

The way the system works right now, the only defense that applies is that of the type of weapon you are holding. Since we are melee, we use melee defense. It adds def to both ranged and melee. (yes I know, twisted logic, but read the stickies)

I STRONGLY recommend you stick with 4000 healer, and you will grow tired of having to turn on and turn off improved force run all the time when you want to actually do damage.
