Thread: Pre/Post CU: The difference isn't the sabers...
*Sigh* Just another plea for something to even out the playing field, perhaps a pearl reset for post-cu pearls? The fact is, even if we put in all the hours that our pre-cu counterparts did, we still have a much smaller chance of getting the same kinds of tunes because the best we can possibly get is a "quality" crystal of those lvl 111 npc's or off those good pearls that have the krayt graveyard camped (on every server I assume?)
Please, devs, CSR's, anybody at SOE, listen to the community for once and help us out.

why punish us the ones that got pre-cu premiums and flawless . Is it our fault we got em ? did we ask for this ? did we brake it ?

The playing field will be evened out when you've been playing your Jedi for a year. Then you too will realize that there is no free handout, and that we vets did indeed go through the same thing you did.
It's not like we all have these perfect pearls. Back in the day, the quality of the pearls meant diddly squat, they were all random with no bonuses. And when they fixed that premiums and flawlesses got hoarded by guilds and sold for tens of millions apiece, so they still weren't getting out.
It's basically the same situation. You will develop a good saber over time, just like us.
The only difference is, you aren't there YET.

sure. I'll give up my pre-cu premiums, as soon as some one pays back the 40mil+ spend on pearls?!
FYI, the other week a gave another jedi I know, who has a weak saber a bunch of cyrstals/pearls that i looted. he got an 88 -8 tune from a POOR crystal. Its still possible to get 120 -9 tunes, just dont expect it from the first crystal you tune. loot enough crystals/pearls and eventualy you'll get 4 100+ damage tunes that you can use. dont expect everything handed to you on a silver plater.

Damn, I wish SOE gave us such a present back when I was grinding.
The respec was a HUGE gift from SOE and the noob Jedi just stand around with their hands out asking for MORE.

hmm, it have taken me a year to get my saber like it is. and i dont even have a great saber! i grinded iver 1/2 my template whit a 13/13 -5 fc crystal (poor quality) before i managed to get a quality pearl to tune 45/45 -7 fc.
you can still get realy good tunes. you just have to use time on it like every one else had to (or a lot of cash)
