I have looked through the MASSIVE FAQ and still havent found the good advice for someone my template to fight bh.

First off my Template MDEF MLS 3000 healer 0002 enhancer.

My saber is 453 dps 614 max dmg. 19 fc

I run infusion macro and aura macro.

I eat piketta pie, bofa treat, blob candy, spiced tea and Booster blue.

I use dervish s the default attack and try to armor break KD then power attack. If the BH kites i use my snare and try to keep him armor breaked and KDed as much as possible. But it seems the Bh always manages to heal up to fast for me to incap. pleas adivce is needed.

Dervish is not the attack you want as default. I'd say advanced saberthrow would be if you chose to use a default attack. BH's are pretty much a rnaged profession, so saber throw will help much more than dervish. I personally wouldn't even use a default just hit the attack as needed.

unless youre really planning on having a very long fight with the BH try some diffrent foods, bofa treat, blob, and tea might have long durations, but they could be substituted by foods that have higher effectivness and a shorter timer

I don't use an auto-attack. Then again I'm a master enhancer, don't like to break stasis on accident.

maybe not default attack but dervish is worth using during the fight as one of your standard attacks. just be careful, the area on dervish can actually hit things from 15m away. now if only it could hit the primary target from that...

k, im just gonna tell you what i would do, and i have been playing since launch so i consider myself a pretty experienced player and i know what im doing especially when it comes to pvp.

First i dont really like the foods you are eating. I would use Mandalorian wine for small health buff + action and mind regens, Pikatta pie is good, crispic is important also for better accuracy, Ruby bliel for 30 second stim down time instead of 1 minute, exo-protien wafers for dmg reduction (if you start taking heavy dmg then pop one of these, they only last for about 20 seconds but they are only 5 filling and you can eat alot of them), booster blue of course, and some kind of ranged or mellee defense food (depending on who your fighting) is good also. Always make sure there are at least one of all the above items in one of your toolbar slots. I keep my pvp specials and all that on the first toolbar and foods and self buffs on the second toolbar. Preperation is the most important thing in pvp so whoever is more prepared is probably going to win.

Now i could imagine it would be a bit difficult keeping in range of a bh with the template you have so you will have to use your surroundings to your advantage. If you are outdoors then try to get indoors somewhere so the bh will have to come to you and play on your terms instead of his out in the open where he can kite you all day. Also i dont think using dervish as the default attack is very wise, I would use saber hit or saber throw if hes kiting you. Using saberhit as your default attack will save you action and force and it still does enough dmg to make him heal after a few hits. If you cant outdmg his heals then try to run his mind down best you can. Once his mind is gone then hes finished. This would be easier for you to do if you had 2000 enhancer instead of 0002, you would be able to keep force run 1 on so he would have a difficult time kiting you, also you would get a root and force speed.

Other then that just keep him armor broke, use powerattack as much as possible, and after a kd it is possible to get 2 hits in while he is kd, use saber hit first then head leg or body hit (not sure if you could get power attack in there in time) Also use good timing on your kd's, try to get him right before he has to heal. Well cant really think of anything else atm, hope this has helped a little.

Thanks I will take all the advice i Can get I have worked a long time for jedi and just now finishing so i want to learn to fight my template now. I got killed yesterday by a BH SL CM that was a 30 minute fight. I dueled a mrifles bh 4000 cm today and it was about 15 mins but i won. I will probably use saber hit as my default now and add in head/body hits as i see fit. with the power attack when i get him low on health and KD'ed. I will also look into these new foods yall suggest. I didnt know of any that were better.

I hear you dear. And this Really IS some thing of a delema when you have so little saber power to back your self up.

In such cases, trying to over power a decent BH is all but out of the question.

With thier combat med droids that they can area heal with B-spray, thier anti AB slice armors, and lack of a force pool of thier own, you are in for a seriously long haul if you want to win such a contest, but win you can.

Some small tid bits of advice, and remember this doesnt work on Every BH out there...

1- find a small building or structure to run around and mess up thier LOS (line of sight) on you, if possible.

this way You can dictate much of the timing of the encounter. run when you need to rest ect.

2- do NOT take heavy tummy filling foods to start with but lighter ones, and lay off the drugs.

He will likely be on his Best foods and buffs, and you want to out last most of them, when His start dying, Thats when you can take Your best ones, and turn the food advantage around some.

3- use lighter attacks near the beginning of the fight. Dont show him what You really got. (State attacks like blind bleed ect work well at this point.) let him become some what complacent with his healing for a while. Let him settle into what HE thinks is his usual ruitine of wearing you and yer force pool down. when the time comes that you Have enough mind and force and his advantages are waning but he has become some what complacent, Then you can corelian ale up and other Hard assed foods, thats when you move in with heavy HIT attacks.

4- One of my simplest tactics with Your current template: Click "follow" Icon with Him targetted.

root, AB (till it sticks) get health down past half NOT with KD yet. You can start with power attack but Dont use it again as you want it followed with FAST attacks and No more zip timer.

Then when at half or less, KD preferably with saber throw as it does more dammage than most yer other attacks.

From here you Hope to try to finnish him while he is newly on his back, (and that he is some what caught off gaurd with your suddenly improved performance) with attacks like swipe, head hit, and the similar like.

Really. There are several ways to accomplish these things, but for Your template, this is one of the better VS an Decent BH that looks to try to out last you. Try to get HIS action and mind down before you pour it on huh?

Hugsies, ALARIA.

Don't forget too that while you don't have Force Run you DO have Burst Run... so keep some burst run food on you (Parawan Nutricakeallows you to immediately re-activate Burst Run...) and Terrain Negotiation food (Travel Biscuits). And if you KD the BH at a distance, close the distance while using saber throw to keep damage ticking so even if you don't get to him before he stands up, he'll have to heal upimmediately.

Don't worry about your template... it's still a very viable PvP template. Like any engagement, from 1v1 PvP to an all-out war between nations, it pays to dictate the conditions of the fight. As was mentioned above, BH's tend to be ranged and WILL try to kite you and/or DoT you - their big adantage is two-fold: surprise, and choice of locaation. Try to move the location of the fight to one most favourable to you. If the BH has to come within saber range because you are in a building or have some terrain to use, then you have given yourself a huge advantage - you'll be doing the damage and the BH will be healing. With your template I'd try to avoid being caught out in the open and if you are, Force Valor is your friend as you try to retreat to more a more favourable environment.

Peace.

To help with timing for KD I use Armor Break as a timer. When it goes up I know I can use it again.

I use just about the same combo of attacks.

This is true and is a great tip. Saves watching for that goofy "ECG" animation to disappear (who the h3ll thought that one up?).

Don't use macro's. They'll get turned off by a smart Bounty Hunter. Use tell reminders

/t <name> Aura is going to wear off in 5s....;

/pause <amt>;

/macro aura

/t <name> Infusion is off, re-apply now.;

/pause <amt>;

/macro infusion
