Jedi = only "hero class" in this game as of now.

Sollution = make more "hero classes"

Hero class = elite

Anyone but the casual uninterested part time gamer will OFFCOURSE reach for the elite = atm jedi = all reach for jedi = jedi game..

So.. make more hero classes = BH /Smuggler /etc

= a more balanced game..

WOW has gotten a few things right.. Maby SWG figures out that doing things right = more money..

Copy wow lvl 70 hero class.. adjusted into new swg elite classes.

And.... If SOE want jedi to become more rare.. W.T.# has the grind time to reach jedi been reduced to a short grind compared to the incredibly LONG grind that used to be..???

Make jedi Hard to grind..

Btw.. did I forget.. Fix the damn amazing hoop of bugs a s well.. this is hardly a game.. more like a premature beta..

Are you out of your mind?!What they should do is start ALL of us back over as far as skills are concerned and take away EVERYONE's Jedi and make this game AS INTENDED from the beginning. Jedi was supposed to be an UBER RARE player that you almost never saw because although he was POWERFUL (a knight could clear a room full of people according to thunderhearts interview before launch) there would also be perma-death.

Now, don't give me all this Crap about how hard it was for you to get your Jedi. My Jedi was one of the first 10 on the Naritus server and yes, I survived the perma-death. ( I had 1 life left when they changed it). I would be losing ever much more than 95% of the Jedi on our servers today. I didn't have a safe planet (wookie planet) to afk grind my XP, nor could I become a knight in a few short weeks like many did. I spent a year and a half on my Knight Grind thank you very much. I was never a "respec jedi" and cheated the system to gain more skills by banking respec points. My Jedi was finished about a month before the respec. My Jedi was the first and only "known Jedi to be going dark" when we were all forced to be rebels. I proudly wore my imperial guilds tag and it lit me up light a neon sign in a dark alley. I didn't have a village to go to and could actually TRACK and KNOW exactly when I would be a Jedi. I hologrinded them, and talk about difficult, it almost killed this game because so many people got sick of that grind because there was no light at the end of the tunnel. Being a Jedi was supposed to be HARD and taking, and DEFINITELY the Jedi path wasn't suppose dto be easy and fun. It's the care-bear Jedi and other crybabies out there that have no clue how hard it was and will never appreciate what a H3LL it was to be a Jedi.

After I said all that, PLEASE take my Jedi and everyone elses and impliment a system that would be all but impossible to figure out and even worse to do even if you did figure it out... That way Jedi could be VERY powerful and ALL the other professions would again be viable. I would be more than happy to start over with mycharacters as long as I can keep my stuff I earned. Make a system that I will probably never figure out how to weild a lightsaber and I'd probably be happy with it. Not that I wouldn't again try to be a Jedi, but that it would again BE WORTH becoming one IF I ever got lucky enough to get it. Right now, the profession of Jedi has become a cancer to the very survival of this game and even though it hurts, it needs to be cut completely out and redone. Anything less is doing nothing more than applying a poorly made bandage over a systemic cancer that WILL kill this system because as it is right now... why bother with anything "except Jedi." Armorsmiths can't make Jedi armor so in a year they will be useless, weaponsmiths can't make better sabers so they will be useless... at least a tailor can keep their job.

You say that everyone won't be a Jedi... and you are right but the majority will be one or has become one.

What is sad is that the Jedi was the Corvette that most would only take out every once in a while because of how rare and valuable it was to lose, but it now looks like a pinto and everyone has one, and the normal character has been reduced to nothing more than a mule for holding more crap in your houses.

A penny for your thoughts on this matter....anyone. I know this has probably been said at least 100 times, but if you want balance, you have to eliminate the REAL problem and start over.

P.S. If you want WOW, go there... this is Star Wars and some things just don't fit...and shouldn't fit. hum... maybe I could convince WOW to let me bring my lightsaber there and call it normal... <--- that was sarcasm if you didn't know.

I cant comment, since im not a pre pub9 Jedi, but honestly whatever it takes to become Jedi i will do. I bought this game to become a Jedi. But i do agree that Jedi should be ultra rare and would welcome such a system.[I respect all the old schoolers had to go through, for sure]

The proper frs wil help us to keep rare or atleast not seen as much.

When I say proper i mean a light and darkside andI mean a TEF to each other. Anyone familiar with gizmos plan?

The FRS is not the problem or solution... Again... another bandage. Just fix it from square one.

You can't stop people from being fans of Star Wars.

I too bought this game because I wanted to work my way to become a Jedi. Compared with Jedi Knight series where you are basically given Jedi.

who said there was any concern over the jedi numbers? Only people concerned are those that don't want to see ANY jedi in the game at all, but to them I say, this is a Star Wars game...get over it.

People literally dedicate their lives to become jedi, lol, and you want to take it away??????????????? Are you out of your mind?

Don't give me all that crap about how much harder you worked, no one broke any rules, they did what was necassary by the game software itself to become Jedi. Your being another selfish pre cu jedi, who wants all the glory of being a jedi, but do now wish to see too many people with it. Give up your jedi, thats a good start for dropping the numbers.............. You pre-cu jedi already have a major advantage against the new ones, 600-800 dps sabers vs 350 - 500 dps sabers..............

After I said all that, PLEASE take my Jedi and everyone elses and impliment a system that would be all but impossible to figure out and even worse to do even if you did figure it out... For every new jedi, there is at least one new non jedi (alts), plus all the other people who are just starting the game, and those who do not want to become a jedi..........

Why don't you stop being selfish and be happy that others are now able to enjoy a new excitement in the game, an excitement that you have also been able to experience.................

You don't understand that when you make an elite combat class, anyone who wants to be PvP will aspire to be in that class. When everyone becomes the same profession in a player based economy, the economy crashes. You think I don't want to see the Jedi around, and you are mistaken... When I bought this game on June 26th 2003 (day 1) I only wanted to be a Jedi and wanted to kill Light Jedi and thus advance the interests of the Empire. I would like to see them, but not anywhere near the capacity that everyone is one and if you don't have one, then you are a Noob. It's sad that in my entire post you read the whole thing and all you saw was me bitching about numbers. No, I'm talking about fixing the game...the WHOLE game. Start it over, make it fresh.... and by removing the uber elite class that is basicially given to you now compared to what it once was, it will revive all the other combat professions and even make support professions such as Armorsmiths, and Weaponsmiths very valuable again. Stop being so short sighted and try to see the whole picture.
