I've been a padawan for about 2 weeks and have so far trained ls0030 and novice healer. So far the XP hasn't been too much trouble, I have been doing mainly wild lairs of borgles, bol stompers, gurrecks, arcane drones etc on Endor. I always group with a pet and leave him at the starport.
My current skill points are laid out Master TKA, Medic 0040, Swordsman 4044, Reflexes Master, Combat Prowess 0044, Sabre 0030, Novice Healer.
I usually have 2300-2600 doc buffs and 400 strength brandy. I use Legthit3 on each mob in turn. I believe my sabre has a -5 fc crystal in it and I usually dont run out of force, maybe only once or twice a session do Ireach 0 and berserk for a little while as it regens.
The time it has taken for my grind so far has pretty much been in line with the guides in this forum. However I am now working on ls0040 and so far after 5 buff sessions I am at 550 out of the 1600k xp needed. so currently averging about 100k a session
The guides say it should take from 8-10 buff sessions so I seem to be a little off target and am wondering if anyone has any ideas that may help?

It looks like your running out of force to me.... (how do you replinish it?) --
You need the channel force feature if your waiting to kill a mob at all based on force.. (sure the crystals/pearls matter) BUT-- its more so to have enough force to use the special.

it took me from the time that I got up to the time I went to bed one saturday to get that 1st 4th box. Don't know if it can be done much quicker

I got an easy 250k in 3hrs at ls 0030 doing solo groups with area attack 2 - doing mobs one by one is slowing you down. I used leg hit3 to take out the strays.
If force is a problem take up another novice box or 2, the temptation of channel before ls 0040 should be avoided if possible

As some people have said before , its really a good idea to get channel when LS0030 instead of waitngtill LS0040 .. this way you canarea attack whatever w/o downtime and get 200 to 300k per buff session

are you using a 1st gen or 2nd gen saber? you mention only one crystal, so i'd guess a 1st gen. using a 2nd gen would allow more damage, thus faster xp gain, but at greater force drain.
honestly, though, perhaps you shouldn't be so concerned about what the guides say. you'll get there when you get there, and i personally can't imagine going straight up double bladed with only novice healer. it's seems it would be nearly impossible to keep enough force to mount effective attacks.
good luck, though, and happy hunting.

At this point you can definately benefit from a large solo group that will let you pull missions with higher difficulty. Level 99 missions spawn 4 mobs per wave, level 110+ missions spawn 5 per wave. Missions you can pull yourself of with a pet spawn only 2 mobs per wave. If you are milking lairs, you can get 5 waves of mobs from each--this is how you make up the extra difference in xp per hour.
Here is an example using crazed gurrecks, lets say at 650 per critter:
2 mobs x 5 waves = 10 mobs x 650 = 6500 xp per lair.
5 mobs x 5 waves = 25 mobs x 650 = 16250 xp per lair.
That's almost 10k per lair, if you do 4 lairs per hour, over a 3 hour buff, that is another 120k per buff, and even 3 lairs per hour makes it 90k per buff.

I could do that before gettin channel. Now it just lets me use my stronger gen 2. I got it because i was putting in less grind time.

Creatures at lair = Spawn 1
Tap 1 time = Spawn 2
leave (go 150+ms away from lair and stay that far for 1 minute or more) and return
Creatures at lair = Spawn 3
tap 1 time = Spawn 4
lair at 50% = Spawn 5
Majorfly wrote a great guide to "milking" lairs here.

erm... I actually get 5.8 waves:
1st at lair
2nd after first tap
3rd after lair gets to halfway point - leave ONE alive
4th at lair after return
5th after tapping
6th after halfway part (make sure u stop hitting lair when 3rd wave starts popping)
Doing seething bols on dantooine - and can't seem to get more than 4 per wave, that's 23mobs per lair, each giving about 800 xps or 18.4k xps in total. For 2 lairs that's 46 mobs, or 36.8k xps per trip.
I find that each pair of lairs takes about 30mins. So that's 73.6k xps per hour or approximately 220k per 3hr buff. Doing borgle life sappers on endor, I was hitting about 80-90k xps per hour, but they deathblow... also if u get an ararchne queen on you with poison, then that wastes you a good 10-15mins or even a death...
I'm ls 0/0/3/0 + novice enhancer, novice healer and novice defender I have -8fc 20/20dmg crystal in a 1st gen saber. I have zero problems with my force pool and with the tka meditate line in my template, the disease doesn't bother me. I'm currently working on ls 0/0/4/0 and intending to go enhancer 0/0/0/2 (channel force) next.
Hope this helps
