Thread: New To Jedi Grind (advice needed)

So jedi is right around the corner and im starting to worry about my own kind I know how sneaky and ruthless we are! lol

Anyway, so i have been contemplating3 basic ideas for grinding jedi.

1st: to slowly drop skills as i requier new jedi skills.

Problem: It will eventually get to the point where i am left with too little normal skills to defend myself, and probably not enough jedi skills to survive in a fight.

Bonus: I will have fun playing my new jedi =)

2nd: To drop pistoleer 0004 for my FS branches, and keep MBH MCM. I will then grind jedi but not spend any points learning jedi skills. Instead bank exp until i am strong enough on my own with jedi skills.

Problem: I will completely miss out on the fun of being a jedi and jedi powers for a while, until i think im strong enough on my own...which could be a problem.

Bonus: I have not yet lost to any other BH i have PvP. With my pistol/rifle and MCM MBH temp i am certain i can kill any BH that tries to come after me while i am jedi grinding. I have slaughtered other MCM MBHs as well, so im not worried about them either.

3rd: similar to 1, slowly drop skills as i require new jedi skills, but when i get down to only MCM as my player skills and the rest are all jedi, i will stop there and continue grinding and banking jedi exp. So now i am 1/2 jedi 1/2 MCM until i get enough pts for full temp.

Problem: Not sure how well this idea would work

Bonus: I would pray that this is enough to keep me alive

So what did you all do when u became a jedi. I see some peopel out there that are CL40 or CL54....i never got why you would all want to drop that low? I personally want to stay CL80 so i gain more jedi exp.

Can anyone explain to me in detail their method of the initial jedi grind?

Since I had to start grinding a very long time ago I don't have actual first person experience when it comes to grinding after the CU.

But I do know that when you're a noob jedi (forgive the term but it sounds appropriate) you hardly get Jedi XP for killing animals. So you need to get a tier 4 box as fast as possible so you too get 1.1k Jedi XP per kill.

The best skill to get would probably either be 2 handed or double bladed. 2 handed is excellent cause it has armor break but since you don't wanna fight a BH unless your nearly finished with your template double bladed may be even better so you can use spin attacks and get XP faster when powergrinding. You won't outdamage your mates so you don't have to worry about the animals to change their agro on you.

Other than the LS skill force run is essential to escape, and channel is essential to get force, cause you can't grind without it

dont listen to this guy, as soon as you qualify for a new skill you go train it right away, you never know if a bh will come and kill you then you will have lost the xp to train that skill.

Look, I know what I am talking about, I grinded like that and made Full Template'd pretty fast, you know why? If a BH came for me I either run stayed to fight or died... and in all the ways I wasnt Effected hard... they call me Exploiter when I run, Noob when Die, When Fight they says Good Fight, AND in the end I dont lose much I have control about the way I lose XPs and the amount I lose, Plus the CL stayed pretty OK high... and not to mention...

I don't know, my vote would depend on your future template. assuming you are going MLS, my opinion would be to go 0042 LS only, using spin, saber hit and throw as your means of gaining jedi xp. keep the MBH as long as possible, but drop whatever skills you need from pistols and any of the x444 CM lines (i.e., leaving you with at least MBH/4000 CM to heal and defend yourself with).

Basically get to 0042 LS and then store as much xp as possible and then train. with 0042 ls, you get an area attack, a ranged attack, leg hit and a low fc single attack, saber hit. you therefore have a means to gain xp in all circumstances (solo, spinning, ranged) and have the healing and combat (mbh/4000 cm) to stay alive and/or run from most bh's with no problem.

Never try to cap.If you had enough xp, go and train. You dont wanna lose that capped xp.BH problem.

Grinding on Kashyyk is dead now. I would suggest get LS xx2x for spin attack and head to Dantooine and join a spin group.

I got the novice boxes for the extra force firstly, but that was when you had to solo grind, before the CU. Then I got healing and channel next.

Your CM healing will keep you alive though. Depends on what you want your template to be. But if you have the XP, then train.
