Thread: Playing Jedi as jedi should be played ... Astonishment !!

Well, whatever, everyone has their own way of playing, but here is my personal way :
I have been jedi for a year now.
I have NEVER shown a jedi tag of any kind.
I have NEVER duelled where non-jedi can see me duelling.
I have NEVER worn my jedi robes where any non-jedi can see me, with the exception of BH. When they declare themselves, I do the same.
When I read all this complaining and moaning and groaning and flaming I feel very sad for jedi and for the game as a whole.
So, I if I take this forum to be an example, I know that at least 90% of jedi are only interested in being uber and/or moaning and whining and showing off and waving their glowstick.
I am not saying that my way is the only way. But even darkside jedi are not interested in showing off in front of non-jedi.
This is an appeal to the remaining 10% of players who play the role of jedi ... a raise of hands ... I know there are a few of you out there ... just say "aye" ...

/say "aye"
Tough I just have started the padawan ways about 2.5 months ago, I have a lot of fun. Due to some accidents out of my control (npc spawning too close, PCs having fun driving into me while radar doesn't update) I must have gotten visibility, but still have to find the first BH coming after me...
And I'm halfway dropping my skills of the non-jedi sp spent! I can get 2 tier 4 jedi boxes and then i have to giveup my last non-jedi profession...
So it can be done ![]()
/salute
so do you also not hunt high level mobs orgo questingwith your jedi?

Yeah and jedi are the only ones that want to be powerful right?
Jedi arent underpowered they just have so many nerfs, bugs, lack of content its not even funny.

My LS has lit up once in town, from a BH attack.
Well, whatever, everyone has their own way of playing, but here is my personal way :
I have been jedi for a year now.
Approaching 2 come December.
I have NEVER shown a jedi tag of any kind.
I actually show no tags of any kind, on any of my Characters.
I have NEVER duelled where non-jedi can see me duelling.
Same.
I have NEVER worn my jedi robes where any non-jedi can see me, with the exception of BH. When they declare themselves, I do the same.
I've never bothered to wear them Post-CU. There's no point, as mods are busted,so I just wear my BE clothing.Pre-CU they were hotkeyed.
When I read all this complaining and moaning and groaning and flaming I feel very sad for jedi and for the game as a whole.

Just because I'm not flashy doesn't mean I don't quest, and I'm sorry, but not being flashy hasn't saved me from the nerf bat.
I support the OP's code of conduct and have been following it myself. My guildmates are doing the same, but that's because I'm fortunate to belong to a guild of mature players.
Re-read the original post. It's not about avoiding game content. It's about not being a complete tool.

I'm confused, are you bragging that you are a rollplayer and that other Jedi are not rollplayers?
As for "showing off", it's easily fixed via "random ecnounter NPC BHs". Having a NPC spawn on a Jedi who shows off in a NPC city will curb the "show-offs" and restore some integrity to the them of StarWars.
Also, NPC Cities should have Police/Gaurds/Imperials (the Empire is in control) insta SaberTEF ALL Jedi who equip their sabers within 32m. These "gaurds" should also "call-in-reinforcements" when a JEdi is TEF'd in this fassion. Coding these "Gaurds" in the same way the BH/NPC/Marks are codded will allow for a them-vs-jedi approach which would increase the feeling that we are playing a game in the StarWars Universe.
As for the robes, I would never wear mine and had only worn them for about 2-3 weeks after deciding to get my second chatacer.
For showing off, I run around solo while declared special forces...if someone attacks me at a starport while passing through am I now showing off and offending you becasue I was attacked on site?
