Added info about Crystal Cave and my story about pvp last night.
Added more converted foods.
Added new images and updated some oldies (better info on Light Robe etc).
Important Info: They have changed the lightsaber damage since TC Corbantis was taken down. Disregard all reports of lightsaber damage below!
F.A.Q
Are 1h/2h/DB different?
No. And any rumours you may have heard is based on crafting success, not the schematic.
Anything fun in the Jedi Enclave?
No. Not in Exar Kun either.
About the Quest Rewards (Robes & Crystals)
1. We get Blue Glowie mode at log-in (see screenshots).
2. When you start the game you get a Quest to visit Obi-Wan's Hut. You go there and may select a robe and a crystal.
We can pick between Oppressor and Arbiter Robe. Both need Level 80 to equip.
Oppressor Robe gives +120 points to constitution and also have "Gift of the Dark Side" (emperor style state icon), "Chance to fire an additional offensive damage effect".
Arbiter Robe gives +120 points to constitution and also have "Gift of the Light Side" (yoda style state icon), "Chance to fire an additional offensive damage effect". When I look at character sheet I have +200 health, +200 action, +245 constitution when this is equipped.
We can pick between Obiwan's Legacy (Deep Blueish/Cold) or B'nar's Sacrifice (Brownish/Acid). Theese acts just as regular "special" crystals. Right now about +10 elemental damage compared to +4 for regular. The old "special" (like Sunrider)give +8 elemental damage.
3. We have the title "Jedi Elder".
ForceRun...
3-5 sec, about 2 minutes cooldown...
What do you like the game now?
Frankly, the new interface is not as good as I had hoped for. Parts of it is uneccessary bulky. This is not a console game, and it's not a fps either. I do not know what to say right now really. I will give it a few months more, and I believe a new player could have fun in the game, so I can actually recomend the game to starwars fans now... but the interface could be improved. Alot.
So could you start on the level 80-90 quests?
No. Couldnt find any.
About the Titles *NEW*
My "Padawan" received the following titles:
Force Adept
Force Sensitive
Jedi Apprentice
Elder Fencer (based on my badges)
Elder Bounty Hunter (based on my badges)
Elder Marksman (based on my badges)
Elder Pistoleer (based on my badges)
Teras Kasi Elder (based on my badges)
Elder Scout (based on my badges)
Elder Jedi
What about the pearls?
About 10-10 seem to be max for a flawless pearl.
Reports are that pearls dropped from Krayts are up to +5.
A guess is something close to:
120 = 10
110 = 9
100 = 8
etc...
What about our powers:
Buffs:
DEFENSE:
Niman Stance: A defense stance that increases the chance to block or dodge incoming attacks, providing a level 70 defense.
Description of state: Taking a defensive posture. Defensive capability modified by 140.00 points.
Test Results & Notes: 40 seconds. A defense buff cannot be combined with another defense buff and is incompatible with "Force Aura" even though the look and description is different. My damage was reduced by about 10-20% with this active.
BLOCK:
Saber Block: makes you invulnerable to ranged attacks for a brief period of time by deflecting all incoming fire away from yourself.
Description of state: Block incoming ranged attacks for a period of time. Modify Saber Block modified by 0.00 points.
Test Results & Notes: 20 seconds. Very long cooldown about 1:30 minutes. The "0.00" seems to be incorrect, I did indeed take zero damage even if I got a floating "1100 damage" above my head for each shot I took. Do not stop saberthrow.
DAMAGE:
Vaapad Focus: A level 30 increases to damage of every attack while active.
Description of state: Attacks are deadly. Offensive capability modified by 50.00 points.
Test Results & Notes: As far as I can see, this isnt working right now. I did no extra damage. "No" cooldown (becouse the buff drop after the cooldown).
UTILITY:
Force Run: Increases your speed for a short duration.
Description of State: You harness the power of the Force to run faster. Modify Movement Speed.
Test Results & Notes: 3 seconds. 2 minutes cooldown.
Heals:
Focus of Life: This ability allows the force sensitive to draw on the force to heal themselves, for a level 58 heal.
Test Results & Notes: I healed about 3000 damage with this one. Meditate heals 1800.
Attacks:
Force Choke: A level 78 attack that causes damage and reduces the target's movement speed.
Test Results & Notes: Short range (about 5m, bugged: can be used at longer range but with no effect). About 17-20 seconds cooldown. 1161 damage and snares (against an unbuffed level 80 Jedi).
Force Shock: A level 50 attack that causes damage and reduces your target's movement rate.
Test Results & Notes: Short range (about 5m). About 17-20 seconds cooldown. 931 damage and snares (against an unbuffed level 80 Jedi).
Saber Throw: This attack allows a Jedi to attack from a distance by throwing his or her lightsaber.
Test Results & Notes: Did "regular" damage... about 250 (against an unbuffed level 80 Jedi). Very short cooldown, about 5-6 seconds.
Djem So Strike: A high powered level 78 attack that deals extra damage.
Test Results & Notes: Do about x5 damage (~1200 damage compared to just 250 with regular attack against an unbuffed level 80 Jedi). About 17-20 seconds cooldown.
Level 80-90stuff (untested)
Force Regenation (replaces Focus of Life)
Soresu Stance (replaces Niman Stance)
Vaapad Strike (replaces Djem So Strike)
How do I use this stuff?
You must first make an attack or buff active by selecting it in the toolbar, then you rightclick.
For now I have attacks on 1-4, Buffs on F1-F4 and the heal on Tilde (left to "1").
I heard we do not get our level up rewards, what are we missing?
FS Fundamentals IV: Issued Force Sensitive Backpack
FS Fundamentals V: Force Crystal
FS Essentials I: Initiate's Robe
FS Essentials II: Jedi Artifact
FS Essentials V: Issued Force Sensitive Ring
FS Essentials IV: Sith Amulet
FS Expertise II: Krayt Dragon Pearl
FS Expertise VI: Issued Force Sensitive Pendant
FS Mastery III: Meditation Crystal
Do we get ANYTHING?
Yes: Jedi (level 90): Belt of the Force Sensitive
How do food work?
You can mix spice + food, but no more than 1 food buff at a time.
What about the Abilities?
Strength: Untested (coming as I know for sure)
Constitution: Bonus toHealth & Action
Stamina: Untested (coming as I know for sure)
Precision: Untested (coming as I know for sure)
Agility: Untested (coming as I know for sure)
Luck: Untested (coming as I know for sure)
What about the incap state?
2:30 minutes
Weakened
You were recently incapacitated. Another incapacitation will undoubtedly be the death of you.
This change gives some improvement to pvp IMO. You know you must stick out for your buddies with this state. If you do, you will definitely improve your chance of winning.
And just going to mention it, even if it doesnt belong in the Jedi forum... AV-21 sucks with the new collision detection. It's very annoying to use it becouse it gets stuck everywhere.
The first impressions on TC-Corbantis (somewhat outdated):
As soon as I logged into TC-Corbantis I found myself on Mustafar.
At once I was met with a character selection screen where I had my 9 options.
I clicked Jedi, and wham, that's all I had to do. I was now a Level 80 Jedi. No-brainer.
All my old powers gone, and a toolbar full of new icons.
After this I got a call from the ghost of Obi-Wan and I received a quest to go to his hut on Tattooine.
After a few minutes I had fixed my keysetting (I really want datapad on CTRL+D etc) and picked the "best" version of each ability, and placed it on my toolbar.
I then realised that I couldnt use my Lightsaber. I decided to go to Tattooine the first thing I did though. Once there I found heaps of other players hanging around.
My mission was updated and told me there was a tent nearby. In it I would find a wardrobe in which I would find the robes. The mission said I had to select if I wanted Opressor or Arbeiter robe. Unfortunate the mission was bugged, there was no tent, there was no wardrobe. Instead there was a gigantic Jawa sandcrawler and alot of shelters with Tuskan's all over. If this is a new quest or an unlucky spawn I do not know, but one hour later they where still there.
I tried my new powers for a bit... and quickly realised the "Niman Stance" wrapped my character in a "Default Box" that did not dissappear until i relogged...
Important: After this I moved on to find a Crafting Station in a Research Center. This took awhile since my favorite city had been changed to a Manufacturing Center. Once I found it, I crafted a 3rd generation lightsaber according to all rules (bespin port, pyollian cake etc. etc.).
I couldnt experiment on SAC or Speed, so I maxed out damage and named it Ruby Stinger MK3 (my 4th gen is called Ruby Stinger).
To my surprise the 3rd gen turned out WORSE THAN MY 1st Generation!!!
So I popped the best pearl from my 4th and planted them in my 1st generation.
The part above is fixed now. My 1st gen is crap and the crafted sabers are similar to the converted.
Important: I had now noted that my ability scores (Strength, Agility, Luck etc) increased each time I took a shuttlejump. I started with 340 in each ability. When actually testing combat live I quickly realised something was fishy. Even low level creatures where deadly. But after a few jumps my abilities was up to 1640.
I have no idea how high they will go, but there's something odd going on there.
So take testresults from people who claims combat to be hard with a grain of salt!
The part above is fixed now. Abilities are "80".
Before I had the time to jump more I had to disconnect to go to 4h of work. Once I get back home I will see how far I can pump my abilities and then post some screenshots.
At least I had a quick encounter with a Krayt Dragon with another player, and we died before we even reached it...
My experience with the new powers wasnt great. All I can say is that first selecting a power and then rightclick is an extremely bulky system, especially for powers like SaberThrow and Heal. I did not find any way to customize thoose buttons, launch them from a macro or in any way making it easier to use them.
Finally I did a short run on Mustafar, and there I really realised the major issue with the targeting system. It's so incredibly dark that it's impossible to see the monsters. I died and cloned twice in just a short moment (remember the ability problem, I gave them 180 damage when they hit me for 700! No way I could beat that).
My experience as a Medic was even worse. I could no longer use my battlearmor. My 2.25 million customized FW-FWG5 was unlicensed (couldnt use it anymore) and since I did not get my level-up equipment I did not get the unique Medic weapons...
I also still had alot of enhancers in my inventory for stuff like bacta toss and deuterium toss (removed stuff).
Opinion so far: They have alot to fix with the conversion to not aggrevate veterans more than neccessary, and they really need make it easier to use your keyboard to start skills. The "select+rightclick" system is extremely bulky. Once I learn how to max out my abilities (read above) I will make more testings with combat and some pvp.
The Crystal Cave (Friday)
Just a cool addition. The ancient request from Jedi to have a Crystal Cave implemented have finally been heard.
Ameno explains:
At level 26 you get holocron splinters that lead you on your 2nd force sensitive quest. you're sent to this cave to collect 3 crystals(quest part), then you collect a color crystal (mine was green, not sure if its random or not), then you head back to tatoonie and talk to a guy who gives you the training lightsaber.
Look at the screenshots.
PvP session (Friday)
We had a longer pvp session together friday night to see what we could do. We started out as four Jedi, but later on several other professions was added. At max we where about 2 groups vs 2 groups.
And I have to say, I had alot of fun. The people who believes it's all about clicking will likely lose. To be able to win anything you really have to use everything you got. All abilities use different timers and the only way to really push out damage is to use as much as possible.
So about the pvp. When things started to get thicker, I noted that Jedi have pretty much the same role now, while adding non-Jedi professions in the mix definitely gives an advantage to your side. Having a Medic or an Officer on your side will add a Definite advantage, but even a good mix of ranged professions like Bounty Hunter, Commando and Spy will be important.
A Jedi's role is to rush forward, plowing down targets as quickly as possible.Ranged professions are always snared (due to their weapon) so Force Run definitely help to catch someone who are running. I used it as often I could. Once we had a target picked, unleashing your entire arsenal of specials really dropped their health as a rock, just saving action for heals. We are the front line damagedealers.
Keeping track of buffs is important, and you cant use them all at once. If you are dealing with ranged, use block. Block rules. 20 seconds immunity against ranged opponents is awesome. When Block drops or if you need a longer buff, use Niman Stance. It improves defense for some time, which is important when you start to drag too much attention to yourself and people start to gang up. Vaapad Focus appears to be broken right now, but it's what to use when you need to pick down targets quickly.
Also keeping track of the "incap" state on your friends is important. If you can "save" your friend from getting incapped a second time, you may save them. Keeping track of the 3-rule incap in the old game was very difficult, but now it's a definite and important tactic.
Healing 1k damage when you have 12000 is not a big deal, still I found some use for stimpacks. A Stimpack at the right time could make the whole difference really. Duels between skilled fighters lasts for 30-40 seconds max, and you really have to be both smart and fast to win. I personally going to have alot more respect for a person who can win alot of duels now, becouse I know that he have nearly no advantage in terms of more damage in his saber or a better template. It's more than +75% about skill now, 95% if it's two Jedi duelling.
Major issue: One definite issue right now is that when a Jedi player do not have a target under the mousecursor, their saber will unlit. When chasing a running foe, it's very easy that the target moves past your cursor and your Jedi will unlit its saber. This adds a delay long enough to make dealing damage to a running opponent impossible. Even Saberthrowing a running attacker is impossible. Even if you are good enough to get it thrown it doesnt do more than a few hundreds of damage (on 12k which regenates very quickly...)
I quickly found a new food combination that offered me a potential bonus to Agility that seems to offer more defense and speed. Strength, Agility, Constitution and maybe Luck seems to be the important abilities right now, while I havnt found any use for Stamina and Precision.
When we had some time to spare we picked down the stormtroopers at the starport (like always) and they often had something fun on them. One noteworthy new loot is a +25.00 bonus for 5 minutes to one of your abilities. I found a boost for agility, one for strength and several for luck. Theese could be combined with other foods.
We PvP'd in Theed and I couldnt see the graphicslag I used to have. Things was pretty smooth all the way.
Opinion as of Saturday Morning: The game is definitely improving. I had a blast last night and so did my guild. I liked the new PvE but now also the PvP is growing more into the way I like it. Fast, based almost entirely on speed, skill and tactical useage of the available professions on your side... Almost nothing on template/equipment. While there's still room for improvement, this is how it should have been from the beginning. The only complains I have right now is the whole "must have target under cursor to attack" issue that is really annoying and not at all what I would expect from an actionbased game. I would have preferred if I could just shoot/swing in my general direction and if there's something standing in the path they will get it. It's said they are working on collision detection but it will take awhile.
My second issue is the uneccessary bulky diablo-style controls in which you must select your function then rightclick. It should have been that you just started a function/attack by pushing a key. Clicking 2 buttons per attack is an uneccessary bulky timesink, and me who have small hands have definite problems reaching from WASD all my way over to F12!!!
(I have currently remapped my functions to SHIFT+Q/W/E/D/A/S/D/F/Z/X/C/V).
Right click works in Diablo becouse you move with left mousebutton, not with WASD. You never had to move your fingers around on the keyboard to move and select function at the same time!!!
But anyway,I will definitely PvP more in the new system than I ever did in the past. It's fun!

Jester (ex GCW corr) posted he had somewhere over 10k health at CL80. Not sure if this includes elder buffs or not.
Not sure, from what he told me it was actually a ranged proff that had lvl 90 (the only one he saw, so I can only assume bugged sence xp does not carry over)
that 9am class is gonna be rough
