I used to hold Darth Maul as my favorite, mainly because of the red/black contrasted look of his character, but after playing SWG, and actually reading more of the books, and learning more of what Jedi should be, I have to say my vote nowgoes for Qui-Gon.

Welcome to the New Galactic Empire, a very hidden organization that has managed to kill far more citizens and destroy far more communities than theImperial Navycould have ever dreamed of.....

I like Qui Gon Jinn the best.

He represented that "old master" quality that you can find in older Kung Fu movies. He is akin to the Shaolin master who has decided to leave the temple to teach the raw doctrines and styles that he knew. As much as I loved most of the Jedi and Sith even for their fighting prowess, it's the attitude of Qui Gon that wins it for me. Example would be the fight with Darth Maul when the shields bar Obi Wan and Qui Gon from Maul, observe what each person does; Maul teases them with intimidation, Obi Wan bounces around with fighting adrenalin... Qui Gon meditates and calms himself. That's why I like him the best with Obi Wan pulling a close second for his clever tactics in sabre duels.
