Thread: Did you know????
Dude they dont care if the Devs said it was a PvP profession, they just want to run around trying to look like an awesome PvPer and never test themselves or loose face being beaten.
Every game has them, peacocks. They look great but cant fight mainly because they are too worried someone will think they arent the best.
They would be happiest if the game was named SIMs with Sabers.

Is Jedi a PVP profession if you totally avoid any sort of visibility and therefore cannot be hunted?
same can be said of anyplayer that is factioned but never goes SF.

To be fair, if you didn't know Jedi was a PvP profession to begin with, you should have never unlocked one.
How you can take all the time necessary to unlock a Jedi toon, and not take a fraction of that time to do a little reading up on it first?
Unbelievable.
I have never once read from a DEV that Jedi is supposed to be PVP. But I knew that becoming a Jedi would mean that I could be hunted. Not counting BH's, I have never PVP'd with my Jedi. It is my choice. Therefore, I do not consider Jedia PVP profession. It is just like every other combat profession out there, it has the ability to PVP.

Notice the part that says.............
"All jedi are permanently PVP enabled."
Any more questions about the devs orginal intentions?
I didn't think so.

Hmm, where to start. First I will say that the intent of this profession may have been at one time for pvp. Second I pay for my account monthly and will not be told how to play it.
That being said, I agree that bh's should be able to hunt jedi and I do like the visibility system. What I don't agree with are the BH's who insist you are my content therefor you must stand and fight since your class was made for pvp . The whole BH/Jedi conflict is based around forced opinions and rants and raves by both sides. I am tired of getting hate tells for running away when I don't feel like fighting another player. Have I stand and fought bh's sure, I have won a few and lost a few. But what bounty hunters need to understand is that while yes we should have known (and I think most did) that once we unlocked the bh's would be coming so there is no sense crying about it, you also knew that not all jedi will fight. If you don't like that some jedi don't want to fight go make a TKM/Master Swords 4000Doc and stay overt and you will find pvp and you will be uber. Coming to this forum and saying things like "if you don't want to pvp go make a dancer" just shows you ignorance.
Bottom line is we all pay to play this game, and when you first installed it said "The Greatest Story Ever Told, YOURS". I can only assume that by "yours" they meant that I got to decided how to play not some forum punk flexing the muscle's of anonymity.
anyone notice the date on the post, the references to limits on cloning before u "die".
this is not relevant to post curb.
jedi are not perma pvp enabled. perma pvp enabled is special forces.

Some people just don't get it apparently.
My post was to illustrate the Devs ORGINAL intentions, BEFORE all the whining crybabies got thier way.
Well, say that then , u fool.
Bigger letters dosn't an intelligent post make. Fool.

I've forgotten more about this game than you'll ever know Jr.
I'm just stating my opinion. That no one has to do anything they dont want to in this game. If a Jedi doesnt want to PVP they have the option to run from every BH, never go into the FRS, and never go Overt/SF.
Oh really?Just for the record, (and I hate the territorial pissing contests), I played in Beta for months beofre launch, unlocked two Jedi in the old system mastering a total 58 proffesions (some twice), so....I doubt you ever knew enough more than me, to even be able to forget half as much, and would throw down against you on SWG Jeoapardy topics any day of the week..
Nice cheap shot though cheesewhiz, but you missed the bagel entirely.
You think you're the only BETA tester (not player) left in the game? Well you're not. I was there too. When they started announcing professions what one did you want to be? Me, I wanted to be a Combat Engineer. Remember that one? Also, by chance do you remember the great April fools day joke when announcing the last playable species? Oh man that was good...Nearly gave everyone a heart attack.
As far as your comment about Jedi being a PVP profession, its not, and no matter how many times you question my ability to think it never will be. As it is right now, it has PVP access built in, but its still not a PVP profession. If it were a PVP profession, Jedi wouldn’t have the option to run.
This whole jedi being a pvp profession has made this game into a version of Street Fighter with fewer character choices and special combo moves with a Star Wars twist nothing more
