Thread: Please stop whining about the old days!
The game is a joke now and was before CU. No way to fix it. No matter they do someone is gonna be ticked off.

After cu it was all crap.. I used to solo the NS stronghold. But couldn't win in pvp. It was goofed pre cu, but now is worse.

Jedi are weaker now sure, but we only have ourselves to blame for this really. Jedi were powerful in the old days, i think we all agree on this. Is it not surprising that everyone who liked to compete in PvP started on the road to Jedi- hood? Perhaps if the Older players had kept themselves a little more secret and not rail roaded into every faction war and basically killed everyone we wouldnt have the population explosion we have today? Sure SoE also added to the population by making it easier to start on the road, but this is just to give players what they want. After all we all wanted to be like that cool dood who killed 10 players by himself in that last Faction war we saw!
The old days are gone guys, get over it. The only reason people still talk about them is because back then SWG was new to them, everything was a adventure and fun then. Much like the newer players are finding today, i bet in another year or so, the new players now will be singing the praises of these current times as the good ole days.
Oh yes and please do not take the vocal minority on these forums as the voice of the entire SWG community, they are 100's of thousands of people who do not post here and are happily playing away. Just because they shout lounder than the rest of us, does not mean they are right.

. Melee owning ranged? Hilarious. Ranged was good, you just ndd to kite... DUH. What do you expect? Like there is some kind of snare/root Oo. Spam your most powerfull combat move? Sjeez man you would have died in split seconds.
These good old days suck. And I'm meaning THE DAYS AT THIS TIME. There are 100's of thousands people who do not post here ANYMORE too, because what they gained was nerfed into oblivion. I shout louder than you, because I have more people behind me that left than you have people behind you that stayed or came.

What server you on? Ima make a BH and pull missions til my head explodes trying to get yours so I only come after you, should you ever actually get a jedi.

First of all, they are NOT the minority, secondly you probably were just unskilled at Pre-CU gameplay, and therefore make these rash generalizations about it.

Also it will be fun to see what SoE does after the Obi Wan expansion, they are actually going to have to create their own fiction from now on. Seeing there are no more films to take stuff from.

All the CU did was dumb the game down so far that even the best player can't best someone with a better weapon, or take on 2 or more people at once (without use of questionable methods. Take myself for example, pre-CU I could take on multiple Jedi and still win, post-CU I can too, but only if I use the elevator trick).
Pre-CU, there was a lot more skill involved in PvP. Now, like I already stated, it's just whatever idiot has the best saber. There are plenty of people running around with no talent, but great weapons, and winning fights they really should have no chance in. Pre-CU, they would have no chance. But the CU gives them that chance.
People who couldn't PvP worth a damn before, were saved by the CU, plain and simple.
