Nice to see that the BH correspondent uses exploits. Oh wait! You say "using the friends list to know when they come online after you've already identified them is not an exploit!" And if you're not talking about the friends list when you say "see him log in", what other magical BH mechanism do you have to see him log in? Using the occasional probe droid periodically to check if the Jedi is logged in is not how I took that statement.

If the definition of exploit is: "using an in-game mechanic, in an unintended manner, to gain an advantage you otherwise wouldn't have," then using the friends list in the manner described is an exploit. Just as a Jedi using the /duel command to check if a BH has their mission is an exploit, under that definition.

A BH with my mission is not my friend. I don't belong on their "friends list".

It's not an exploit. Having you on the friends list only tells a BH when you go online. It doesn't tell him where you are or give any advantage at all. The only way he can actually find you using his friends list is if he's on yours. We can find the same information by trying to launch a probe droid or seeker. We don't even use up the probe if the target is offline.

PS. Reading the original post, he said nothing about even using the friends list. Once again, you can find out if your target is online or not by sending a probe droid.

Oh man ive been full template for a very long time. over a year I think.

Lately, I just get bored of killing BHs. No benefit to me. So, like I do all the time now, Stasis/FR3.

Stasis, lick, snog, KD, root, poke, meditate, stasis, FR3 in circles, dance, KD, stasis, lol, root, swimming, houses.

I can do it for at least an hour before I get bored and shuttle somewhere to make them waste droids. Then leave planet. Rinse and repeat when they show up again. Then afk in a house for dinner

Oh, and Ive been a BH on my main for over two years now. I would hate if someone did it to me, but that doesnt matter, I find it's the only fun thing to do on my Jedi toon nowadays. Other than that Jedi has gotten boring for me.

The fact is: there's very little, if any, ground-based questing in this game you can do and not gain visibility. You can't PvP with a non-grouped player and not gain visiblity, including a fight withthe thrice-be-damnedBH that has your mission. And it's certainly very difficult to grind in some areas of the game without gaining visibility from NPCs spawning near your lair, right in the middle ofbashing the critters.

So, sure, it's easy to grind solo being very careful about visibility. But there are other aspects to this game that I would like to experience with my Jedi toon than grinding frakkin XP.

Sorry for sounding snippy, but every time someone spits out that tired, old "stay off the terms" chestnut, I could just gag.

Isn't that the way jedi always was though? It is completely possible to grind in a group and never have a bh. It's probably not a good idea to grind out of the MO if you want to stay off the terms, but it's still very possible. Secondly, if you want to do quests and such either get a strong enough jedi to fight for themselves, or play your alt. That is EXACTLY why they give you a second character slot.

I know exactly what the friends list does, but thanks for the re-education.

But oh no! Using the friends list like that isn't an exploit, goodness noooo!. BH's would never use an exploit, would they? Of course not! But, oh goodness, yes! A Jedi using the /duel command is an exploit, no question! After all, only Jedi players use exploits, right?

Uh huh. (And, in case it wasn't readily apparent:yes, that was sarcasm.)

Knowing I am online or not, without using a probe droid, IS an advantage. It may be a small advantage, but it's still an advantage. I don't carewhether or notyou use up a droid if I'm offline. The fact is, you should've had to at least try using one to check my online/offline status. Otherwise, you can be off doing something fun, like be in space, or down in a cave, diddling a dancer, etc. etc., and not have to worry about having to launch a droid. And then, ta da! Thesystem tells you I've just come online, with no effort on your part. Then you break out the probe droid.

Either both of these things are exploits, or neither is. There is no grey area on this.

What in bloody hell was the point of developing a Jedi character? To always and forever do only PvP? I understand that for some that may be an appealing factor, and that for many others doing constant PvP isn't even a matter of choice. But I developed a Jedi character in the hope that by the time I was done, I would've 1) already seen and done a lot with that toon, 2) there'd be Jedi-specific content for me to play only available with a Jedi character. I've been disappointed all around by the what we've ended up with.

And, for goddess's sake, no way would I grind Jedi out of an NPC starport or city . That's not only foolish, but arguably insane. But even in the wilds of Dantooine or Tatooine (my main grinding planets, forthe BH's in the audience ), you can still have random NPC spawns all over the area, on every single mission. It happens a lot. And then there's the occasional egg drop of STs by a Lambda shuttle right next to the lair (happens to me at least once a grind session; I wonder if I did something to tick the devs off? ). Sure, I could go grind solo, but I choose not to spend the next 2 years of play time grinding Jedi.

Besides which: I don't really give a flying womp rat's hairy bottom about visibility anymore. The simple fact is: I've made the choice to grind in groups, and with many visibility factors either unknown, or out of my direct control, I choose not to care about it. In fact, I'm usually one of the ones in the NPC gank squad in our grind group that goes around killing the NPCs for the other Jedi in the group more concerned with visiblity. So, I'm without a doubt on the terms. BH's happen.

And, FWIW,I earned a second character slot because the old system had the Jedi toon be separatefrom the main characterso the player could still play in the event their Jedi got perma-killed; the only reason they allowed it after the Publish 10 was out of "fairness" to the rest of the player base. If the purpose of having a second character slot is that now I get to park my Jedi toon in a house, forever, and play that second slot character instead, then this game is more messed up"than I could possibly imagine."

For now...what is there in benefit for a Jedi to stick around and fight a BH? Nothing. Since FRS is not turned on it is a waste of time.

The OP is right if you want BH to leave you alone. Another thing that aggrivates BH is if you run and you stop on occasion just to blow up their speeder bikes. Then take off running again. Works like a charm...

I dunno if this is true, because I've beat the living hell out of every BH that has come after me, now if they pick up my mission and find out it's me, they just drop it. <=( I haven't have a BH in days.

It is not Jedi's job to fight BH. Where did you find that ? The Jedi Code ? I never signed any agreements to be someone else’s end-game content. I know that some BH in their arrogance believe that it is our job to keep them amused, but they better be ready for disappointment.
