I do not disagree with his post at all.
The main issue with NGE is the horrible interface, not the vision.
It wasn't his post duh!
It was an interview with him, posted on an Industry trade site.
An actual press article!
You "post" way too much I think.
LOL when did anyone ever reload energy weapons in Star Wars???!!!!

Ok. I guess that explanation kindof maybe makes sense. The only major problem that I have though is, you flip flop ALOT about the NGE. You seemed to be so happy with it, then you played it and seemed to hate it, now you like it again? Is this a repeat performance with your views on the CU?
PRO:
* Ican now make myself untouchable to players who's intention is to cause me grief.
* Somefriends who left becouse non-quest grinding are returning.
* Jedi content such as the crystal cave is finally added.
CON:
* The interface sucks.
* There's less character customization than Jedi Knight 1.
* My Medic lost both armor, weapon and expensive equipmentin the conversion.
I translate these pros and cons as follows:
Come 11/15, once I get to level 80 or so I can turn myself blue glowy and chat with friends since the quests end and the game stinks.
How is any of this Star Wars anyway?
It's like hanging out in an old Star Wars movie set. The props are there but that's it.

another side note.... SWG just hit 1 million subscribers a month ago. WOW has over 4 million. and I bet half of the WOW players like myself are big time Star Wars fans. just not blind that SOE screws people over every chance they get.
lol.
SW:G has more like 60-80k subscribers. They've sold 1,000,000 UNITS. UNITS does NOT equal SUBSCRIBERS.
Two words to Mr. Smedley:
SUCK IT!
and if there are 1 million subscribers playing SWG, I'm a Chinese Jet pilot.

I have quite alot of business experience with both game development and corporations, so I am very attuned to what he is saying. I believe he's alot more honest about the changes and underlying reasons than what's normal in this business.

Some of the interview is even positive with regards to the future plans.
The only thing I do notentirely relate tois "There are a lot of different levels within that [profession], so the people who've been [working down the Jedi path] for a long time will be much more powerful than the people just coming up. We're still rewarding people for their loyalty over the years" since you can respec to Jedi after grinding a carbineer in less than 2 weeks.
Bull. You might have once bought a magazine at K-mart about it, but your complete lack of understanding the SWG player base and desire to destroy the game to fit the minority shows the complete opposite of understanding. You see nothing wrong with peoples hard work and effort to reach certain goals in the game to enjoy the opportunities it offered mean nothing. You don't get the impact of changing so much on the game or the people that play it. You understand nothing. I hope you finally get the position of Jedi corrospondent you have always coveted. All the true jedi will be gone, and you can represent the kiddie contingent and finally drive the game into dust.
