Happens to me to, if im afk on the character selection screen for over 5 mins i have to quit out. So when i do that i log in my alt and leave him afk ingame.

well 5 mins should be ok, i thoght the problem was someing wanting to grab a drink or do a pee, surely that shouldnt take longer than 5mins and if it does. im sure xp lost of more trouble then logging in through launchpad again.

I hate to say it butits your fault, don't go AFK when you are outside. BH's are not going to give up an easy kill.

i have been killed by a BH just 30 minutes ago because i was reading the Forums without loggingoff before and.... i don't care

It was just my own fault. Sh*t happens

All this things remeber me a good time when i was younger and playing FPS with some friends, in lan or over the internet

Some of us were specialized in the "chat boy kill" : when you wanted to say something, all controls were locked, and you couldnt not move until you finished your sentence.... Meanwhile, you could be attacked by almost anyone (mouse controls remained, meaning that a good players alaways managed to have all important keys set on mouse)

On a game i played, i remeber that there was a little chat bubble over the head of every guy that was currently typing to chat.... Meaning that anyone could see he could not answer fire
That was worse than without the little bubble and my friends took even more fun killing those guys.


It's quite the same here, as a jedi, you are in a situation where you can be attacked anytime anywhere by a BH. If you don't want to die in such a situation, you just don't go afk with your toon standing anywhere when a single synapse contact can help you beeing out of danger (house or logout...)
Or maybe you want that some players tell all the other ones how to play, what is lame, what is not, backtrack is forbidden, no sniper, HWrush is not fair, tech rush is forbidden, pyro shouldn't flame everyone, medic mustn't infect other attack team, etc etc etc....

Just play the same game than everybody else and try to learn from your mistakes instead of just frustrating your child that had nothing to do with that !

I'd say either logout or go in a ship/house before you go AFK. All Jedi know not to go afk even those with cloak risk being killed (imagine the BH getting his friends to show up to drain your force, cloak is not the "I don't lose afk button")

getting killed when you are afk, the Log Out button takes you to
the character select screen and its quick to get back in the game via
that screen. To those of you trolling and flaming just report the
post don't add to the drama.

One in particular even tips his mark credits for speeders he may have destroyed. The point I was making to the OP is that he needs to watch his back and not expect the kindly BH. I mean come on... what kind of person leaves their jedi afk in a unsafe place unless they are afk grinding. And if you were grinding, then you was getting xp for not even playing any ways. You gotta look at risk v/s reward. Yeah I hate dying and loosing xp, but no one (including the devs) ever makes you become a jedi... and that is one of the prices we pay to carry around our little glow sticks. Next time simply go afk in a safe place our find a safe place to log and /logoff.
