I spent most of my time in this game either doing the holo grind, doing the jedi grind, or playingon my jedi character. So it would be laughable to ask me whether I would give up my jedi for the good of the game.

I would continue to play my mainif they deleted all Jedi, but I wouldn't voluntarily give my Jedi up.

Did they tahke TKA or Fencers out of the game - NO - they tried to balance professions for the GCW - the problem is Jedi should be more powerful then any elite profession. Take Jedi out of GCW and make it Light vs Dark

Dude I had two BHes come after me who knew what they were doing. they had my in check the entire fight until I luered them into the force crystal cave. I went through the equivelent of two force bars to kill them.Fr2'ed around like an idiot channeling brains out until they cought up to me. One MCM and rifleman they were, and was all the healing power they needed to stay healed. Only when that MCM ran out of mind was when I killed them. if jedi heals are limited to mind or any other double nerfs hit the profession jedi is permaf%$ked.

learn how to play the profs. Theres is a whole mess of tricked and combos that you must know to fight effeciently. Heres a few. /critical shot, /default ranged attack, /headshot, /default attack, /critical shot, rince and repeat. Go out and try it. I bet you kill a lvl 82 piket and have half life at the end of the little scuffle. Also time it. that piket will be dead in under a minute. Throw in your foods, buffs, and you'll can go all day. Apply this method to any combat prof. It works for all of them.

Because of the time i have invested in the game, i would have to say no. However, your point is definately valid.

A couple of things concerning various responses throughout this thread:

1.) Ep 1-3 have no real bearing on the game. The timeline is set between Ep 4 and 5 right after the Hoth Battle last i checked. Based on this, the jedi have been hunted to near extinction. Watch Episode 4 ANH and hang onto the fragments that all the characters say about Jedi and the Force. Another point on this is.....The reason the game was set at this point in SW history was to focus the game on the turning point in the GCW. This is the reason i dont think they will ever "move" the timeline.

2.) There will always be people that cant understand why people think Jedi ruined the game. There will always be people that cant understand why people cant see thatjedi didhurt the game. Its really a matter of perspective.

Yes, there are other elements that have hurt the game as well but your blind if you think that the inclusion of jedi hasnt had a negative impact on the welfare of the game in some form or fashion. If youdidnt see the turn the game took with the Christmas holocrons.........wow, your dense. Doesnt really matter now tho, the damage is done /shrug.

3.) If you removed the Jedi from the game, SOE would take a hard hit for lost subscription and im not gonna deny it. Although it is true that the game is now primarily Jedi-Centric, this was not always the case. In the beginning, Jedi was a mystery and the game flourished. In fact, from my experiences, there were very few that were actually were trying to actively break the secret to Jedi. My point here is that the game did very well in the beginning without Jedi being a major factor.

4.) Concerning the poster that claims that Jedi went through a period of hard caps......where the hell did you get your information? I've been around since launch and have lurked the forums and the SWG site for longer than that and have never seen a thread or acknowledgement of a hard cap on Jedi numbers.

In fact, there are articles/interviews where SWG designers and developers deny any hard cap or intentions to implement them. They did claim to have an organic control in place in the beginning which i believe nowwas the infamous Perma-death or possibly a variable in the Jedi profession requirement that incremented based current jedi population.
