Thread: Why should Jedi fight bounty hunters?
Wonder how long it will be until Jedi get the PVP switch to switch "off"?
Crimeny we ARE content for the BH's. That's the most stunningly simple, and accurate quote I've ever read.
Lolz...something aint right with your template if you take this kinda damage (oh yeah, maybe a level 60)...but your dead so quickly, does it really bother you?

This might or might not have been discussed before, but I don't know, so I'm posting it for me. I'm asking that because other than the thrill of the fight there's nothing in it for a Jedi.
If a bounty hunter dies he's got to lose a couple droids, couple foods, and half an hour. If they win they get money.
On the other hand, the Jedi gets nothing in case of victory and has a lot to lose in case of defeat. But then "l33t bh dat cnat spel rite" will start talking all sorts of trash: ie. ahahahaha u wuss lol u coward etc.
Sure there's gonna be the 25 bounty hunters that post here coming and telling me how I should stay off the terms, and how that's the price for being a Jedi, oppinion which I respected before, but when you have a level 60 padawan having to fight a level 80 bounty hunter, how can you tell them that? When you have a MBH/MCM after you dealing 1500 damage a second, how can you tell them that?
I hope I made some sense in this post. :/
Anyway, /rant off.
Thanks for reading.

FYI, I've never fled a fight. Not even when I was a level-53 paddie at the low point of my combat-level bell curve between my old skill base and my Jedi skills. So I know there's at least one exception to your hasty generalization.

So the best way to complete a mission is to strike Jedi in these underhanded scenarios. It's a no-win situation for bounty hunters. If a bounty hunter waits for the Jedi to get ready for a fight, the Jedi force runs out of there and doesn't fight. If a bounty hunter doesn't wait for the Jedi to get ready for a fight and jumps the Jedi when he is attacking a lair, the bounty hunter gets called all sorts of obscene names saying he's a cheater or dishonorable. There is nothing a Jedi wouldn't do to lie, cheat or steal. It's the reason I hunt the lot of them.
You must have been doing something wrong then, cuz I never dropped below level 69 doing my grind.
I considera BH attacking while grinding or PvP annoying but in all honesty, they are doing their job well by gaining an advantage. . . its funny though that the two times i have died has been to the power of a dozen pikets, not the skill or power of the bh

I love the trash talkers and leet speakers. It makes me proud that i went into debt and spent 10 years in college and have had an education, decent job,no debt, and knowledge thatthere will be a new generation of people to work in the fast food restuarantsand convenience storesI hit while travelling for a couple years at a time, orif they live in oregon i'll have someone to pump my gas for me, and someone to clean my bathrooms at work, etc. of course every now and then one gets lucky and is elected president so they have their hope and dreams to strive toward, and they have the slacker dream most states have called a lottery that keep my hiways and roads paved.
"up with idiocy and mediocrity" the new american motto.
Is hitting a Jedi with a KD SHOT then running awayconsidered harrassment?

Well I just like making Jedi stop what they are doing just so they can give little ole me their full attention. I like making Jedi dead...is that so wrong. You really are my content. You are my quest. It is my job to chase you and it is your job to run or die.

Since I wasa MBH pre-cu, and am a Jedi now, I'd like to make a comment.
Bounty Hunters should be able to hunt Jedi and other professions that are criminal in nature, such as Smugglers. The most famous bounty hunter in the movies was Boba Fett and his main target was Han Solo. Was Han a Jedi? In the movie I saw he wasn't. Though, I still think Jedi in this game should be BH targets because they are enemies of the Empire.
As far as the win/loss scenarios go, I think if a BH loses they should be "shamed." That's my way of sayingthat the BH should not be able to take anyBH missions for some certain amount of time, let's just saysomewhere between 3 days (length of mission in datapad)to 1 week. Or maybe instead of that let's say you fail a Smuggler PvP mission then you cna't hunt smugglers for a time, and same for Jedi, but you can still take regular BH missions against npc's. However, if after you are banned 1 time for failure, and you come off your ban and fail another Jedi or smuggler mission, so that's 2 in a row, you should get a ban from all BH terminals.
Doesn't that make sense?
Let'ssay you were a real life BH and you were contracted by some high end mob boss to kill someone, and failed. Do you think that mob boss is going to hire you again so soon? No.He'll probably use some other guys for awhile until he thinks you've gottengood enough to handle anotherjob. This goes with what I said about losing 1 time. You could still take NPC missions at this time.
If you keep going after criminals, and you keep losing, thenword will spread, through the underground Spynet Operatives, of your failure and no one will hire you. This goes along with what I said about constant failure and receiving a short ban from all BH missions, including NPC ones.
This type of a system will force MBH to be more careful about how many missions they take. It will alsohelp to decrease the number of constant active MBH due tot he recent population rise because it is now the best proffession in game.
I'm sure my idea has somw holes in it. I didn't really sit through and think out all the details. It's just a simple way I thought of for giving the MBH some type of penalty. What Jedi need is XP, and that's what we are losing. What MBH love is loot and money and this system would make them lose that.
Good idea or bad the devs will never do it.
